Inherited Storms
Inherited Storms
Inherited Storms is a one-voice podcast about growing up in the shadows of addiction. I was raised by two addicts and for a long time, I thought I was the only one carrying that weight. I will rehash the memories I was never supposed to talk about: the chaos, the cover-ups, the quiet survival. I’m reclaiming my story - one episode at a time. This isn’t about blame. It’s about what it means to grow up fast, live with ghosts, and try like hell not to become them. If your childhood felt like a battleground instead of a beginning, you’re not alone. This space is for you.🖤

Listener discretion advised — this episode includes themes of emotional and physical abuse. When you grow up in a storm, sometimes the only way to protect yourself is to leave it. This episode tells the story of the first time I ran away — the fear, the shame, and the breaking point that pushed a thirteen-year-old girl out the window and into the night.
