Duke Reacts!

Vintage video and classic rap performance from the one and only SNOOP D-O-G-G. With support from our Funko-lytes, 2Pac and Frank Zappa. You're in a no cancelling zone so good luck trying to stop us.

Also includes a tease of "Sy Borg". Both Stick It Out and Sy Borg are from the second act of Zappa's 1979 magnum opus "Joe's Garage". He references AC/DC and a few other popular styles of the time. Mayer Hawthorne later referenced this track in his 2013 banger "Robot Love"

Busta Rhymes - YMCMB Heroes ft. Jay Sean, Tyga and Cory Gunz (2011). This was Busta at his Look At Me Now-era peak.

Clip from the Sargeant Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band movie from 1978 featuring the Bee Gees and Peter Frampton with songs by The Beatles. Enjoy

I've unearthed a gem, meeting between Canadian journalist Narduwar and the Dragon, hip-hop legend Busta Rhymes

NO MUMBLE ZONE. In the middle of the ocean or up in space, no one can hear you mumble. I know you guys haven't loved the last few years, but we got some amazing music out of it including my own. And this one by Australian rapper Masked Wolf. Song and video were LIT.

Absolute synth banger from Genesis in the early 80s, Phil Collins on drums AND lead vocals. Correction: this is Mike Rutherford on guitar and Tony Banks on keyboards. Enjoy the nostalgia

IT"S STING! The British bloke musician from the 80s you might have a hard time understanding is BACK with another banger. The audio synch glitched up again but we were able to get most of it. Enjoy.

I know the sound and visuals don't sync up. The Vimeo recording device was running a little slow today but the reaction still came out great so I'll post what we got. Have to see what we can do in post to sync it up.

When Rucka goes into the studio he doesn't just target rappers or crews, he targets entire countries. First we did Serbia, now we dug a little deeper and found this 2009 diss of our neighbors to the North. Some of the lines may have aged like milk, but we're still going there for you guys, based on the responses for the other Rucka reactions.

BUSTA RHYMES feat. Young Thug OK off the BlockBusta album. Please don't take this down Youtube this was an epic one so we HAD to react. There's only so many Busta Rhymes videos we got left, so please enjoy.

This band was designed by Hollywood to be like Blink-182 for chicks. The anthem "Pretend To Be Nice" (2001) has aged surprisingly well

This was the only official music video made for one of Weird Al's many polka medlies. He did one on most of his albums but this was the only one that officially did a video. And it rocked.

Reacting to Bruno Mars (with Morris Day) legendary tribute performance to the homeboy PRINCE at the 2017 Grammys. Enjoy

GAWNE, FUTURISTIC, CRYPT & MAC LETHAL - Death To Mumble Rap. This dropped in 2019 but hits different today. Still holds up. DO you think this has aged well? Let me know in the comments, enjoy!

This is a partial reaction as I closed the Vimeo tab during the last chorus, but we got most of the song on there so we'll post as is.=\. Babe Ruth was a female fronted English band from the early 70s, formed by guitarist Alan Shacklock. The Mexican was their only minor hit, although from what we can see they must have been a force live.

Certainly one of Jordan Peele's most passionate performances. Wouldn't want anyone to try and recreate this but he got the point across. Shout to JP for staying in character.

This was one of Bowie's last true masterpieces, New Killer Star video from 2003 off the Reality album I think. We miss you David, I wouldn't have ever been Alvin Sane without Bowie. He and his band were in top form on this record.

BONUS REACTION for this week. You wanted IShowSpeed, you got him. This dude, this man, this incredibly funny bro be cracking me up even when he sings a serious love ballad in Portugese. Just hilarious.

Classic 2013 collab between Busta & Q-Tip, with cameo appearances by Ye and Tunechi. Enjoy Frank Zappa had to go take care of something up in the afterlife for now, but he will be back if our audience wants to see more of him.

House of Pain featuring Denis Leary - Shamrocks & Shenanigans (1992). Denis Leary did the intro in the style of his MTV Rants at the time. How well his delivery and content have aged is up for debate. Followed by verses by Everlast and Danny Boy. Enjoy. House of Pain were one of the first Irish-American groups to be featured in rap.

Everyone forgets how crazy life was in the 2000s, we still had rock stars then and a lot of chemical imbalance. This was the last of Eminem's cartoonish pop culture videos from that insane decade. We Made You was from Eminem's comeback album Relapse in 2009

Full uncensored version of the Acid Queen from the 1975 film version of the Who's Tommy, featuring the late great Tina Turner (Simply The Best) on lead vocals.

Rare gem from Zappa's 1981 masterpiece "You Are What You Is". Zappa was aware of early hip-hop records like Rapper's Delight and Blondie's Rapture. Zappa had been RAPPING since the early 70s but on this one he really cut it loose. You could argue FZ was one of the first true MC's.

Shout to DaBaby, I was gonna do Big Everything with Busta and T-Pain but Youtube took it down so I been tryna give you guys another Baby reaction. Enjoy
