Six years ago, Lelia Faulkner left her family’s home in Troy, never to be seen again. It was July 4, 2016, a day her mother, Susan Faulkner vividly remembers. At the time, Lelia and her daughter Madison were living with her parents. She’d just moved back in after a bad breakup.

The 30-year-old was the city’s 30th homicide in 2020. He was gunned down in broad daylight in Regency Park on June 28, 2020.

Rickem Samuels’s mother, Ericka Davis, remembers her son as a good kid. Smart, respectful, and hardworking. All of that was taken away from her when he disappeared.
