Black & Blou: A Humane Review

Ho Ho - Go[bble]?!? It's that time of year again! It's time to celebrate one of the best Thanksgiving films - The Phantom Menace. Blou lays a chestnut on us, "TikTok (It) or Pickpocket," and Black reads a profound poem to usher in the season of the turkey. Enjoy.

Black and Blou emerge, blinking, into the sunlight of three separate holidays, merged into one. They talk about their Valentime's Day joys, learn about Ash Wednesday from a noted historian, and hear a love sonnet penned for one of Blou's favorite POTUSes. Oh, and they spill the beans on their first loves in a segment we like to call "Brokenhearted Boyz"! But if you think we'r...

Can Black mend his ways in time for Christmas? This episode will have you saying "What in the Dickens?!" and, also, "Zoom should have a tickle feature." #NogLyfe *All music is credited to Kevin Macleod (incompetech.com) and licensed under Creative Commons; these funky delights include Sweeter Vermouth, Enchanted Journey, Lobby Time, Gymnopedie No. 1, Eighties Action, Happy Boy...

Black n Blou are burn-in up because it's Thanksgiving time again! We are joined by two very special bros (The Maggos) to judge balloons, look at some art slides, and chew on turkey jerky. And if you're not too naughty, you might get a glimpse of a certain Canadian-American immunologist...

Are you ready to be TERRIFIED? Black and Blou return for another bone-chilling Halloween special - but this time, for keeps!!! Prepare yourselves to confront macabre art slides, another eerie trip to Krogers, and a little known sequel to the film "Somebody Made a Poopy." Creaaaaak... come on in, children... (maniacal cackling)

With apologies to Garrett at Chipotle, it's yet another mammoth episode of Black n Blou. We welcome our very special guest star, Milligan alum Megan Fontenot. We learn about metaphors at the poetic feet (get it?) of Neil the Younger, and we ask vital questions, like: "Hey, is that David Bowie in a giant spider costume?" Then we delve into the increasingly urgent need for the liberal arts, before c...

After a COVID-induced hiatus, Black and Blou are back by popular demand. Have you forgotten the rickey?? Never! In this episode, the original pod-couple "generate" some classic poetry, talk about the existential threat to classics departments, and revisit David Bowie's classic album "Space Oddity" (1969). And, as always, they push a little sweet merch! All music is credited to Kevin Macleod (incom...
