All my own AI assisted tracks, are free to download. I do not monetise any of these tracks; I do however claim copyright in all but a few of the lyrics and the music in many of the lyricsI have been writing songs "on and off" since1959 until the present. As a songwriter, I write purely for the pleasure it gives me. I have always been pleased with my songs which have been mainly from genres such as folk/blues, rock and roll and general pop (in the style of the sixties). My musical skills are quite limited and the early demos on Soundcloud, prior to two years ago, are of me singing and accompany...

We'll Meet Again (part 2) - That Kiss 03.09.2025 5:14
Here is part two of the recent song, "We'll Meet Again". the first meeting after their coming together by accident whilst travelling.
still waters (cover of original demo) 01.09.2025 4:24
Another cover of one of my old songs. Using the demo for this means that the lyrics, melody, and any associated riffs, etc are captured by Suno. This does not necessarily create a better track - but it sounds more like the song I wrote. In this case, I actually think that the AI came up with a better melody when presented with just the lyric. Maybe you might even find the other Suno offering her o...
My Guitar (covered by Suno from an original song) 01.09.2025 4:38
Couldn't resist doing another cover of my own ukulele demo of this song.
We'll Meet again 29.08.2025 4:29
I am trying hard to come up with songs that are, for me, different. In this song two people meet, recognising a common feeling of loneliness, they go for a coffee and chat about their respective issues. Afterwards they agree to mee t again - cue for a follow up song - or two. I have tried to work with an unexpected structure, short verses and longer choruses. AND staying away from cliche rhymes by...
Since I Lost You 27.08.2025 5:00
Not autobiographical. I found a list of themes for song writers on the internet; I was at a loose end. And this is one theme which I had utilised previously but thought I could tackle again in a different way. Sometimes a good idea to leave the comfort zone for a little R&R. Hope you like it.
It's Later Than You Think (remix 2025) 24.08.2025 3:21
A Remix of a cover, of a demo. With me so far? The original demo was a solo effort by myself, providing the lyrics, the music, and a first stab at the riffs, etc. So the final production owes a lot to my original thoughts and ideas. Suno has improved on all three areas and has added full instrumentation and provided production to create a workable and original recording. BUT it is much closer to m...
Its So She Said (remix 2025) 23.08.2025 3:25
A cover/remix of an old demo I recorded with just me and my ukulele. Always loved this song but could not get that backing when I tried using Suno before. Yes... that "status Quo" style vamp and walking bass was covered by my solo uke. Anyway with the new v4.5 I can now use my" bare bones" demos to up date my songs. Music and lyrics of this song are all my own work. Hope you like it.
Do you believe in Magic, (1960's Pop) 22.08.2025 4:02
I had a pack of cards for a pre sent today, actually a pack of cards with 100 inspiring quotes. Well, one of the quotes certainly inspired my muse. The particular quote was about children seeing magic because they look for it. About an hour, maybe less, later. I had completed a first draft. ran it thru Suno and changed a couple of lines and homed in on a 1960's pop song with a "wall of Sound" effe...
I Don't Know Why (full version) 21.08.2025 7:23
WARNING...This track is seven and a half minutes long. But the "guitar" solo which ends the song is a must hear. Suno has really made this track something special for me. I wrote this song with a uke on my lap, and developed the 8-bar chord sequence which constantly repeats thru' the song. This goes a long way with the lyrics to defining the song. It starts slowly and quietly, but soon continues w...
Until It's Time For You To Go - Cover 19.08.2025 4:53
This is another of a short series of covers of myself singing, ( with solo ukulele), some of my all-time favourite songs. This song was written in the early 60's by Canadian (of Cree Indian decent), Buffy St Marie. My apologies, seems I was not singing clearly enough for the AI to capture the lyrics, several "typos" exist, and I need to correct and remix.
It's A Cruel Life 18.08.2025 4:29
It's A Cruel Life by John Dyhouse
Let The Music Play 17.08.2025 4:11
A first for me & Suno, using the Inspro feature of the newest version; in essence I can tell Suno to use a playlist of my songs to "inspire" a new song. It uses styles of songs in the playlist to generate the new song. Hopefully any new songs I create using this feature will develop a "style" which should represent decisions I have made in the past. This song also has provided a new persona for us...
How Can I Tell 16.08.2025 5:44
This was an accidental song, I wanted to play with the Suno v4.5plus features. So there are a few issues with the lyric which I may not have allowed - just outside my comfort zone - potential double entendres. But I was in a hurry to churn out a "full" lyric. More editing than I would usually spend time on, far more than average for me; But I was working to the clock. I am fairly happy with the wa...
Only You (cover) (Remix 2025) 15.08.2025 3:02
Another cover of myself singing an old song by The Platters. This version remixed in Suno v4.5
When you were sweet sixteen (cover) (Remix2025) 14.08.2025 3:16
A beautiful ballad written in 1898, by an American. Since then this has been associated with many artists, my own introduction to the song was after hearing a version by Davy Arthur and The Fureys, an irish folk group. It was quite a big hit and has become associated with them to the extent that many think of it as an Irish folk song,. This version has been remixed in Suno from a recording I made...
Never No More (Remix 2025) 13.08.2025 4:51
Another in the series of remixes, from original recordings of me singing with a simple strummed uke for company. The lyrics and the melodies of the song are therefore both original and written by myself, John Dyhouse.
Shadows Of The Past (Remix v4.5) 09.08.2025 3:15
After 12 months with Suno I have accumulated a little experience using prompts/tags and the appreciation of using them in order to obtain what I want within reason. Of course, I am now left with a few tracks which leave a lot to be desired. I never did aim for perfection! But this song left me wondering if I could do better. Early experiments were often simply about genre and style. And with the n...
The Empty Chair 07.08.2025 3:55
I was looking thru my notebook today and found this half-finished song, Mmmm, I thought, not like me. I rather liked the original ideas although I had run down one or two rabbit hols which is why I probably left it - and forgot about it ? I took the lyric to pieces and reassembled it with some new ideas. This was this was the result, a couple of moths late! First run thru with Suno, I chose an alt...
I Want To Tell The World 06.08.2025 4:23
Sometimes I write a song which screams to me COUNTRY. This was one of those songs. I sometimes write a song without a genre in mind, and now with Suno's help, deciding on a genre becomes something which can be left until after it is written. Anyway, Country it is this time - well country-rock, just to spice things up a little. Hope you like it as much as I do?
Going to the City (Mastered) (Remix1b) 04.08.2025 3:45
This is a direct remix (Suno) from a demo of myself, singing and playing guitar. so the lyrics, melodies and guitar are all written by myself. Note: on this track, the AI must have not recognised the lyrics correctly, and inserted a different interpretation - something which we poor humans do many times when listening to todays rock, etc.
My Red Corvette 03.08.2025 4:11
A rock track strongly biased by the flamenco guitar, cajon and clapping. All lyrics by myself. Useless information: I had just started watch a rerun of the first "red Dwarf" series on Cable TV, here in the UK. And I was looking for a memorable first line, to replace " just an ordinary road" which was my original working title. I am glad that I did. Hope you like the track.
Welcome To My Arms (soul mix) 02.08.2025 3:57
I really had to include this |Soul version of this song; as promised yesterday, "thar she blows". The more I hear this the more I liked it. Hope you do too!
Welcome To My Arms 01.08.2025 4:33
Not my usual style - of writing or genre, but here it is. This came just slightly ahead of a soul ballad, which may still be uploaded in the near future. Any way hope you like it!
Love At Last 30.07.2025 4:14
I worked hard on this lyric, so was looking for a high quality production from Suno, however I think that under some circumstances v4.5 is producing shimmer again. It is almost like a low volume string/keyboard backing - perhaps it is? But Suno certainly brings out the anthemic vibes on this track, hope you like it.
hey, stranger (Instrumental Remix) 27.07.2025 2:59
A remix of "Hey Stranger" (written by myself) in the style of a 1960's instrumental. Anybody else a fan of The Shadows or The Ventures. Still music I listen to from my very large collection of original vinyl and CD.
