John Dyhouse

All my own AI assisted tracks, are free to download. I do not monetise any of these tracks; I do however claim copyright in all but a few of the lyrics and the music in many of the lyricsI have been writing songs "on and off" since1959 until the present. As a songwriter, I write purely for the pleasure it gives me. I have always been pleased with my songs which have been mainly from genres such as folk/blues, rock and roll and general pop (in the style of the sixties). My musical skills are quite limited and the early demos on Soundcloud, prior to two years ago, are of me singing and accompany...

Early One Morning (jazz cover) -1a 21.10.2025

Decided to do a few more instrumental covers of some of my songs. As I have mentioned previously, my guiding light when growing up, included groups like The Shadows, The Ventures, etc. This is just for me, although I hope that you will like some of them. The songs covered in this way have to be songs I uploaded to Suno so that the main melodies were those I used for the original songs.

The Curtain fell 19.10.2025

A 1960's style rock track, featuring a male vocal (Daniel True) singing the original lyrics of this song (lyrics by J Dyhouse). A remix featuring a female vocallist is already uploaded on Soundcloud

The Curtain fell (Cover) 19.10.2025

A cover of the next track, I started working with a male persona but did not feel it was working as I wanted. I changed the lyric to reflect the fact that this version/cover was a female vocalist and created a new prompt. RESULT! I still felt that as it was written for a guy singing, I should make a new start and try agaiin, NIL DESPERANDUM! The result will be uploaded immediately after this track...

Fireworks and Ashes 17.10.2025

My latest song, with a female vocal. I have left it too long but this could only be one of the earliest personas that I created on Suno. A beautiful Pop Ballad of anthemic proportions - if I do say so myself, LOL. Hope you like it. The backing may be a little "sparse" for some ears...

Once Bitten, Twice Shy 14.10.2025

A laid back country song from Circle80, featuring Brett Steele (Suno persona specialising in this genre). A song I worked on for some time, in the process moving more versions and iterations to the trash can than |I have for a long time. But leaving it for a while and then taking advice from an AI source, on idioms - yep - and shock, horror, I always use a rhyming dictionary and a thesaurus too. A...

Feel The Beat 07.10.2025

This was an experiment for me. I wrote a simple and repetitive lyric, with the idea of a modern "Dance" genre. But when I prompted for the first iteration, I suggested modern reggae as the genre??? the vocal was in a heavy patois accent - I have no issue with that for the genre, but did not really fit the lyric. So I tried a different prompts and Found that I had far better results, however there...

It Started As A Sad Day 05.10.2025

Still on the trail of my favourite music, !960's Rock. I pushed the "Weirdness" up a little, only a little and it came back with this - And I love it. R&R, Rockabilly, ROCK or Alternative Rock, I will take any suggestions but it won't change my mind. Took the tempo up a touch as well, but all to the good. Ther persona (with prompt) is "Daniel True" but that little touch of weirdness has come good.

So I Can Love You Too 02.10.2025

I can't help but love this style from Suno. I love the Rickenbaker guitar sound. This song was one I wrote very quickly today. No intention of doing so, but I was sitting, waiting for my wife who had queued up for a coffee and cake; we had gone shopping and its a little treat. I started tapping the table, and the words just came out. Very simplistic but I thought -sixties. An couldn't wait to get...

Information overload 01.10.2025

The second in a series of tracks based on the poetry of myself (John Dyhouse) set to music with a style based on opera. Notes on the CIRCLE80 Initiative may be found in the description of "A Sheet Of Crumpled Paper". The Suno "persona" used on this track is the duo "Danny & Denise"

A crumpled sheet of paper 30.09.2025

This track is an experiment with mixing light opera and pop. For me it also represents a difference in the way I present the track. For historical purposes, I have always used my name as the artist. Simply because it was practical for purposes of filing the tracks on my PC. I have never hidden that for the last 12 months I have been posting AI assisted music. In all cases (except for a few cases w...

The Fire Inside Of You 26.09.2025

written as an answer to the recent uploaded song, "Life's A Puzzle", I don't claim to be a psychiatrist (is that the right word?) but after writing that song, I felt things were left up in the air and I found a few positive quotes (sorry unattributed) and strangled them and left them out to dry. I quite like the song, but feel I might rework it . But I will leave it for now and see if it ages well...

FATEFUL DAY ( Cover v5 ) 25.09.2025

A cover of "ONE LAST TIME" . To exactly the same prompt, of a song on my playlist/album, "The End Of The Beginning". Just an experiment to hear the sound quality from this updated version of Suno, V5.

Life's A Puzzle (To Me) 23.09.2025

Wow Suno v5 just dropped onto my laptop. Wrote a very quick lyric - just to try it out, and think I love it (ps still beta & for paying customers I guess). A theme I have considered before but put the idea to one side, I am great at procrastinating but not to the point in the song. Tho' I think I do know some people who have this type of problem.

My Future Is With Her 21.09.2025

A second new song, in the style of 1960's pop. As I mentioned on my last upload to Soundcloud, I wanted to use this prompt again - and expect to use it for a number of songs in the future.

A World Of Love 20.09.2025

This track was originally set up to use some "new" Suno meta-tags I had been playing around with (although this time I was using a lyric of my own). Four songs later, I was really happy with the lyrics, But wanted to make just a "small", further change in style. I prompted for a cover in the style of a UK pop group of the sixties - my formative era. I love it, so reminiscent of the music I grew up...

What happened to our love 16.09.2025

I normally do write all my own songs. I wanted to experiment with some Suno meta-tags without using my ownlyrics expecting to trash the songs after the experiments, so I took a quick way. But after hearing the way they were turning out I did some necessary editing and decided to post this. I am moving to loading all my songs to Suno so that the lyrics and melodies are all my own, sometimes acapell...

Think It True 15.09.2025

I was in two minds whether to upload this track, I was experimenting with some meta tags and decided to (whisper it) get a lyric from Suno to avoid wasting time. Well I did not expect to be uploading the resulting song and so simply took it as it was generated. But after a few little experimental iterations, I was finding I was liking it, so made a few very minor and continued to bring the song to...

I Just Can't Smile 13.09.2025

I recently came across a song that inspired me to try and include a circus theme, this is that song. I have not used the other song as a reference, but I am grateful for the idea. It has the vibes of alternative rock genre, but includes references to a circus in the instrumentation and instrumental sections. The lyrics also refer to a clown, and face paint, funny hat and rotating bow ties, etc. Ho...

We'll Meet Again (part 3) - Anniversary 10.09.2025

This is the third part of a trilogy of songs, "We'll Meet Again", subtitled, "Anniversary". All three songs are different styles, but tell a story of two people who meet whilst on a journey, find they are compatible and arrange to meet again. A story of the triumph of love over loneliness. I have (for the first time ever for me tried to write it as a series of conversations in their own head, or b...

Make Believe World (Suno cover) 09.09.2025

“A whimsical journey through mirrors, monarchs, and maritime mischief—Make Believe World invites you to step outside reality and into imagination.” Yes, another cover of an early song, recorded by myself singing and playing. So much more satisfying hearing my songs produced with not only the lyrics by the original melodies. Hope you like it as much as I do.

I'll See You In My Dreams (Suno Cover) 08.09.2025

This is a remix of a track recorded by John Dyhouse, vocal plus solo uke. The song originally written in 1922, has been recorded by numerous artists over the years, my favourite is by Joe Brown, A song he performed at the memorial concert for George Harrison, which closed the concert. Joe was a close friend of George and both loved the ukulele before it's rise in favour over the past few years. Jo...

String Me Up (This Is me, Remix) 07.09.2025

This is closely connected to the last upload, It was an album of music created with a sequencer using real instrumental samples. It was an experiment with my sons software (Acid- Soundforge, I think, but no details of version, etc) but I did not get on with selecting samples and putting each note onto a piano roll. I used many short sections, copied with different instruments and pitch, etc. An co...

EXSTATIX 06.09.2025

My eldest son grew up playing keyboards, to cut a long story short, I used to borrow his keyboards at times and using the auto rhythms/bass used to knock out a tune with one finger. Well, I did play guitar so I suppose I did use more fingers but always one after the other. I quite enjoyed the sessions and recorded the outcomes on reel to reel tape or later on cassettes. I have posted a playlist/al...

silent lady (synthpop cover) 05.09.2025

This is yet another cover, one which I would never have thought about doing under normal circumstances. However a colleague working on his own home studio (Who has worked on some of my songs before, asked if I could suggest one of my songs he could use to produce an 80's style electronic pop track. He has new equipment and is developing new skills and needs one or more songs to work on which he wi...
