The Subjective Professor Podcast

Jesus Day again. Discipline is an interesting term that not only means punishment but education. Well, then that puts a twist on vs 7 which says, "it is FOR discipline that we endure." Blessings and Peace.

Hey all. I'm still struggling with finding time to do normal episodes during the week. Certification for ESL is kicking my butt. But I have to preach, so here's today's message. Seeking the Excellent. Revisiting Phil 1:9-11.  The Excellent is something we all should celebrate all the time. Blessings and Peace.

Jesus Day. And we discuss Freedom in Faith. I have discussed Freedom before, but here's a new wrinkle, at least I think it is. Blessings and Peace.

Jesus Day.  I will have to admit that the world's events are getting me down. There's simply too much ignorant Tyranny. But this is not the first time that the people of God must endure Tyranny.  Let us continue to live in Faith and trust the will of God. Blessings and Peace.

Jesus Day. Who doesn't like Peace and Security. The challenge is getting them. This could be an important lesson for those in government as they promise peace and security but fail.  Blessings and Peace.

Jesus Day. A topic that came up this past week made it into today's sermon: Confirmation Bias. Well, this kind of bias is not a good basis to recognize good teaching. And if we are not receiving good instruction, we certainly won't know if we are fulfilling our calling in Faith.  Blessings and Peace.

I have a chance to upload an episode and it's the content of my lesson from Tuesday. I guess this makes you an auditor of my class.  Deconstruction is the topic, and I get into the how and why.

Sunday is Jesus Day. Today I talked about Hope through Love.  Blessings and Peace.

After listening to more socialist rhetoric, I repeat that they are a bunch of lazy cowards. I get into what lazy and cowardice are, and they fit the bill. Also, I wanted to share with you the response to the first week of lectures.

Uploading episodes will be spotty for the beginning of the year as I learn the ropes at the 2 different institutions where I'll be teaching. It's hard to find time to listen to all the new podcasts that I normally do to get ideas for an episode. I thought I would share what I say on the first day of class to get the students to look up from their electronic devices.

I wasn't going to do an episode today, but then I saw the news about Canada and had to say something about Courage and Cowardice.

Arday was accused of plagiarism by Cofnas; the accusation was supported by the results of a simple plagiarism detection program. Unfortunately, Arday ended his own life and Cofnas is under investigation. I give the general details and discuss what the possible causes and outcomes of this kind of situation might be.  My semester begins this week and I am unsure how frequently I will be able to uplo...

It's Jesus Day again... and it's time to review the relationship between Faith and Works. There is danger of misinterpretation everywhere... So, let's try to establish a good baseline for a life which glorifies God. Peace and Blessings.

USA has achieved a milestone in its national debt.  This level of spending has given us corruption at every level of life in this country. With all of this corruption, Aypeck is asserting itself ever more.

Milton Friedman said that the mistakes of government always repeat because governments never learn. It is the people who must learn and remember to prevent history from repeating. Unfortunately, the people are not interested in remembering. Mutiny on the USS Abe Lincoln? Probably not but the fact that rumors such as this are circulating now is a bad sign.

Larry Johnson mentioned Baghdad Bob in a recent podcast. Who was Baghdad Bob and how is Trump and his administration like him? Then we discuss the normalization of the concept of "using nukes." Then we close out with a discussion on Muslims in the US. I have talked about this in passing, in light of foot washing facility pictures... let's revisit this topic.

Trump made a post about Korea; I thought I would use it to talk about US foreign and domestic policy.

I needed to bring order to my mind; there are so many things happening and it can be depressing and overwhelming.  My process is to go over things to find the silver lining or the hope which is the fuel to keep pushing for freedom. How viable is a 3rd party? Who knows, but the uniparty is just not doing it for me anymore.

Jesus Day. A lot of people today appear as Blind people following other Blind people and expecting good outcomes.  Who do we follow and what does that life look like? Blessings and Peace.

Things are really bad if sailors are attempting suicide while on deployment. How did it get this way and what might be a possible solution to this dire predicament?

Listened to a clip of Mike Rowe yesterday and was reminded of the importance of intellectual freedom which the various socialisms oppose. The various socialisms from do-good socialism to democratic socialism and fascism, are actually anti-worker.  Freedom, however, is pro-individual, and we are all individuals.

I might be late to party of discussing Toxic Masculinity, but something I saw this morning inspired me to make this episode. Toxic Masculinity is an example of how people train others to be narrow-minded.

A campy 80s movie reference to discuss the need to have multiple perspectives or takes or opinions on issues of importance.  We need it now more than ever.

Please pardon the sounds of my cold given to me by my son. But an old marxist student of mine reacted to a post I made and decided it was worthy of discussion. Normally I am an extremist, but perhaps it's time for a spectrum to explain the economic phenomena observed.  And all of this has a connection with the recent Burrito-Gate.

Jesus Day and we are going to talk about something very fundamental: Rebirth in Christ or to be Born Again. I offer how I personally conceptualize being born again. Blessings and Peace.
