As we continue our series in John’s gospel, we see Jesus reveal how the religious leaders are unable to understand who He is. We see that they have set their hope on Moses, the law, and legalism, instead of the Man whom Moses wrote about - Jesus. Pastor Wade discusses this teaching, and the importance of reading God’s Word for ourselves.

In this week's passage, we see Jesus defending His case as the Son of Man to the religious leaders. He does this by referring to the credible witnesses who speak on His behalf: John the Baptist, God the Father, His miracles, and the Scriptures. People can be very reluctant to say "yes" when making an agreement or giving their word. Something so certain, direct and clear as a "yes" is rare. In John 3:19-21, Jesus finishes the conversation with Nicodemus by speaking about the stark truth of judgement to come to those who love the darkness. Pastor Brian discusses the reality and wickedness of darkness, and the Light we find in Jesus.
