We follow along in the story of Gods chosen and the deliver Moses that God raises up to deliver his people from Egypt. Exodus 1- 25

Evil reigns in the early story of Israel in Genesis, including Joseph being sold into slavery by his brothers. But the story make something clear, though evil appears to be winning, the God of Redemption is the one holding the pen in the end. Genesis 37:18-28; 45:1-10

Sometimes to understand who we are today, we need to go back to our beginnings. For Christians, that means understanding the Redemptive God that we worship, and how He has worked to solve the problem of a corrupt creation. Genesis 1:27; 3:1-16

Jude challenges us contend for the Faith once for all delivered to the saints when pretenders slip into the community.

Through the reading of John's letter, how are we challenged today to send and receive missionaries in a hospital way? John also contrasts how to be imitators of good and not evil, all wrapped in the love of truth.

It may be the shortest book in the Bible, but 2 John is packed with wisdom to help us navigate the relationship between truth and love. Real truth is bound to love, and real love holds fast to the foundational truths of Jesus.

In this short letter, Paul intercedes to help two fellow Christians reconcile. Simple, except that one of them is a runaway slave and the other is his master. Paul demonstrates how the gospel changes everything!

In Obadiah, God condemns the nation of Edom, who were neighbors and relatives of the Israelites, for taking advantage of Judah's calamity. God promises destruction for Edom, but deliverance for Judah. What can we learn for our lives today?

The Mission of God we can see in the Scripture was to bless all the nations through Abram's offspring. This happens through the Messiah, and that same mission extends to us, the Church. Today we talk about living missionally as a result. Genesis 12:1-4; Psalm 67; Matthew 28:16-20

As Paul wraps up his letter to Timothy, we consider not only the concluding paragraphs but the entire letter. Pauls's purpose in the letter has been to encourage Timothy to fight the good fight. But we should also fight it with friends.

Paul gives his climactic appeal to Timothy to preach the Word and fulfill his ministry, which reminds us of the supremacy of the Word of God and what "the good fight" actually is. 2 Timothy 4:1-8

The rock band Journey once sang, Don't Stop Believin'. Paul tells Timothy the same thing, although he probably didn't sing it. How can we continue in what we have learned and firmly believed? 2 Timothy 3:10-17 tells us to stand on our firm foundation. 2 Timothy 3:10-17

The influencers in our life shape who we are and how we live. As Paul teaches Timothy who to keep away from influence in the church at Ephesus, we can ask ourselves who influences us, and who we are influencing? 2 Timothy 3:1-9

In our Mission to make disciples who make disciples, how can we keep from getting distracted and stay focused. Paul tells Timothy RUN AWAY from quarrels and RUN AFTER righteousness. Should Christians never argue? If we can, when and how do we do it well? 2 Timothy 2:14-26

Humans thrive when their life means something, but humans seek pleasure when they can't find meaning. In 2 Tim. 2:1-13, Paul encourages Timothy to fight the good fight of disciple-making despite the suffering it involves.

Paul goes to the basics of living a Christian life, to live unashamed of the gospel and share in the suffering that God has called us all to. 2 Timothy 1:8-18

As Paul awaits execution he remembers his dear friend Timothy, whom he loves. This remembering leads him to write a letter in order to remind Timothy of some important truths. 2 Timothy 1:1-7

In this sermon, we discuss the coming of the Holy Spirit, the coming Judgement, the coming Kingdom of God, and our role to play in the story. Joel 2:28-3:21

Joel continues to warn the people of the coming Day of the Lord. He calls on them to return to the Lord so they can be restored. We, too, need to be warned about the coming Day of the Lord, so we can return to the Lord and avoid his wrath. Joel 2

Joel calls upon the people to lament the recent destruction by a swarm of locusts and repent because the Day of the Lord is near. How are these things connected and what is the Day of the Lord? Is this simply interesting or does it apply to us now? Joel Chapter 1

Timothy was trained in spiritual matters by both his mother Eunice and his grandmother Lois. That training prepared him for the opportunity to go on mission with the Apostle Paul. Yet Timothy, like us, needed ongoing encouragement, training and guidance. Deuteronomy 6:1-2, 6-8, 2 Timothy 1:1-12

Throughout the growth of the early church, whenever we see Barnabas, we see him bringing people with him. He was an advocate for others, using his influence and opportunities to connect others and give them opportunities. Acts 4:32-37, 9:26-27, 11:19-26, 12:25, 15:36-41, 2 Timothy 4:11

Priscilla and Aquila were a couple who lived their life on mission and supported the spread of the Gospel. What can we learn from them in order to be better supporting actors and actresses during our lifetimes? Acts 18, 1 Corinthians 16:19, Romans 16:3, 2 Timothy 4:19

God illustrates through the book of Ruth and specifically Naomi, Ruth's mother-in-law, His specific plan for discipleship and his redemptive plan for the world. God is always moving even when we can not see it.

On Palm Sunday and during Passion Week, we look backward and remember in order to look forward with hope. The King has come, and He will come again to solve our deepest problems. What will His return mean to you? Matthew 21:7-11; Revelation 7:9-10
