Generosity is about rewiring our hearts. We fundamentally change our relationship, not just with stuff but the way we even think about ownership. It's not actually ours anyway.

Even though we want to be generous, we are REALLY good at talking ourselves out of actually BEING generous. In one of the most thoughtful and sophisticated passages on generosity, Paul directly addresses all our excuses.

Do we believe there is enough? Do we believe God is a generous God? Do He will provide what we consciously (or unconsciously) believe about those questions will make ALL the difference to whether we are generous-hearted people.

The Hope we find in Jesus Christ brings a reward that is better than any earthly thing. The apostle Peter tells us how we, too, can experience the Hope built on nothing less than Jesus' blood and righteousness.

God's heart has not changed. There is not a substantial difference in content between the Old and New Testaments, but the attitude which we have toward others and the power by which we live it out is extremely different.

Just about everything we do is in the pursuit of happiness. Yet most people are LESS happy than ever. Maybe it's time to stop stumbling around and actually listen to what Jesus said about finding life.

Mental Illness doesn't just impact the one suffering; it deeply impacts the people that love them. What does it look like to care for someone with mental illness? 

We don't always connect virtues with mental health but carrying around anger, and bitterness will weigh you down. Forgiveness is a path toward true healing.

Bad church experiences prompt people to “love Jesus, leave the church.” But, the New Testament, the basis for the Jesus we love, doesn’t allow us to follow him and dismiss his body. It's not often that we stop and asses WHAT we believe; less often do we asses WHY we believe it. We typically just float through life doing our thing. But sometimes circumstances, questions, and doubts force us to dig deep and figure out what our beliefs are all about. The best place to start is - what we believe about God. 

This time of year, we're flooded with messages about productivity and efficiency. People will start a new year trying to do and have it all. But what if doing more is about doing less? Seems counterintuitive, right? It is actually how we are designed (and blessed) by God! Tune in to learn more.
