What, Like It’s Hard?

Every season is spooky season if you live with a demonic entity torturing your family. Sam and Heather get into one of Heather's favorite movies of all time. Anyone up for a game of hide and clap?

Sam and Heather are starting spooky season on a journey of astro projection, ghostly entities and demons galore. Would you choose to travel outside of your body if you had the opportunity? Buckle up because this is a scary ride and not everyone makes it out.  

This week Sam and Heather journey to the rough and tumble streets of Boston to discuss one of the most stressful movies of all time. Special guest Rooster (Heather's dog) also contributes to the conversation whether you want to hear what she has to say or not.  The only thing that everyone can agree on is how good Leonardo DiCaprio and Matt Damon both look in this movie.  

What is more exciting than watching an action packed alien war? Watching it over and over on repeat! Confused yet? So is Heather, but don't worry Sam and Heather work their way through this week's movie and both emerge victorious, or at least both understand the plot......maybe.... 

Sam and Heather continue their discussion on the greatest saga of our generation and this time they are taking it back to where it all began.  If you're new to the world of Forks, Washington consume this episode then travel back to episode 14 where they cover New Moon (also it's sad that you have chosen a twilight free lifestyle).

Sam and Heather love a good comedy experience so this week they turned to Melissa McCarthy and she did not disappoint.  While Heather believes everyone and their grandma have seen this film Sam isn't convinced it's a household name.  Regardless if you've seen it or not grab a Topper Jack's burger and put on your muscle shirt because it's time to talk about Tammy.  

Did you know that Sam has kids? This week Sam and Heather watched a kid's movie and even though Heather is anti-cartoon she really showed up and powered through. Join us for a journey of magic, puberty and all things awkward!  

Sam and Heather revisit another classic from their youth but discover that maybe this one isn't worth hanging on to.  Boys weigh in, do you still enjoy this movie 24 years after it's release? Dawson, stick to the creek because football is not your calling.  

What's better than an action packed comedy rom com? Not much! Sam and Heather discuss the amazing chemistry between the stars in the movie and relate to the problem solving teamwork that they use to survive their situations. It only took about 10 years, but Sam finally got Heather to get into the Knight and Day of it all.  

Heather is back from her sabbatical!!!!  What better way to celebrate then to really break down the intricacies of genetic engineering and exploration through the rebirth of the mighty dinosaur? Also notice anything different about our look? Thank you Courtney for our adorable glow up! 

Courtney is back again this week to cover another sacred teen movie with Sam. This time Sam transports Courtney back to a simpler time, a moment in history when the internet wasn't around and cell phones could barely fit into your pocket. Could anyone not enjoy this classic? As if! 

Krista is back to fill in as a guest host for this week's episode.  A heavy topic but one that many of us are unfortunately familiar with.  The director, Emerald Fennell, was nominated for Best Director at the 2020 Oscars for this film.   Trigger warning: this episode discusses sexual assault.

Heather is back for a special celebratory episode! And these two are celebrating Independence Day the only way they know how, by questioning the patriarchy and discussing the ramifications of aliens on Earth. Also what's more American than a mid 90's Will Smith? 

Sam is joined this week by her dear friend Krista.  Murderous drug addled "bikers", preachy cult leaders, Nick Cage completely doused in blood: seems like a good time right? Sam and Krista find themselves in the age old question, is it art or just crap? 

This week Sam is joined by her oldest friend Stephanie to discuss a childhood favorite.  The true guest of this week's episode were the mango margaritas that these friends enjoyed while recording.  Sam learned her lesson, no more drinking on the job!

This week Sam is joined by her brother Andrew.  Andrew said he didn't show up just to sit back and laugh at everything Sam says and he was not lying.  It's apparent that these two are siblings as they annoy each other while discussing this "sport adjacent" movie.  Sam can't wait to start choosing the movies again.....

Heather is taking a small break so this week Sam is joined by friend and social media all star Courtney to discuss this week's movie.  Courtney is very quick to point out just how young she is compared to Sam, hope it doesn't affect the ratings of this nostalgic pick by Courtney........

Sam and Heather take their first adventure into the MCU together.  Sam is more than familiar with the lay of the land while Heather is trying her best to use context clues. Do you have what it takes to become a trained assassin? 

Sam and Heather have a lot of thoughts about the complex workings of the brain, religion, science and whether or not Julianne Moore convinced us she can serve psychologist.  At what point in the story did you think it went too far? 

We Have a Ghost? More like we have a problem, with everything this movie was trying to sell us. Sam and Heather try really hard to get through recapping this movie even though they both struggled to even finish watching it, they do it all for their wonderful audience! 

Sam and Heather get a bit grounded and introspective as they discuss the themes of this movie.  Almost Adults is a female driven story created by two lady friends and now discussed on this podcast by two lady friends.  As 5 infamously spicy ladies once said, girl power! 

Sam and Heather discuss the age old question, are you Team Edward or Team Jacob? Should we have started with the first movie in the Twilight Saga? Maybe, but we didn't, we went straight for the sequel and both of these average ladies have a lot to say about it.
