6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." John 14:6 (ESV) The primacy and preeminence of Christ must rule over all. He rules over your reasoning, your relationships, and your requests. Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. 

Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”​ John 8:12 (ESV) Jesus is the only light of the world. He makes a way to the Father through his light. As we look at what Jesus says, we learn the impact of his statement on humans on a grand scale and on you as an individual.

Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in me shall never thirst." John 6:35 (ESV) What does Jesus being the bread of life mean for you? Jesus is the word of God made flesh, prepared by the Father. Through the bread, God gives us life in Christ.

Sin distanced us from God, but as believers, it is inexcusable to be intentionally distant from God. Everything we have is his and everything we do is for him.  John 15:4 says, "4 Abide in Me, and I in you. The Holy Spirit wants us to expand his church. We must build on the firm foundation God has given us through intentional faith formation, gospel conversations, voices for the voiceless, and exponential mission expansion. What ingredient will you be to expand the kingdom? 

God has torn down the barriers to bring worship to him. We are called to be bridge builders to that type of worship of a perfect and holy God. We are called to more voices for the voiceless.

You are called to more gospel conversations. We all are! As we look at the example in scripture of Philip's obedience leading to a gospel conversation with the Ethiopian Eunuch, we pray that we have that same faith and courage. Learn more about gospel conversations at westsidebaptist.org/g3

Humanity is born in sin, in rebellion against God and held captive to death. However, only Jesus offers us liberty from an eternity of hopelessness, giving those who trust him joy. Looking at Jesus' teaching in Luke 4:16-21, we see how the Christian responds to the freedom offered to us by Jesus.

You will doubt God at some point in your life. You will be confused about his plan for your life and those around you. Looking at John the Baptist, we see three lessons to take when living in doubt and confusion.
