"Wicked" is not just about a green woman, but a woman of color being labeled as wicked not just because of the color of her skin but because she dared to speak up and act out in the face of injustice.

President Trump has been indicted three times. The last one is important because it outlines how our democracy was at risk after the 2020 presidential election. What happens next could determine whether the USA remains a democracy or becomes a dictatorship.

As of today there have been 146 mass shootings in America this year. The main cause of this problem is not mental illness or bullying. It is too many guns, period. We need common sense gun laws and we need them now!

Angela Bassett is one of the greatest actresses of our time and has never won an Oscar. She had a right to be disappointed. Her reaction is one that most black women have had to give. Frankly, we are tired of clapping for everyone else as we are passed over.

White privilege is when your history is the curriculum and everyone's else is an elective. With 1.6 trillion dollars of buying power its time for us to invest in educating our children about our African American History. 

Most of us will be a caregiver and need a caregiver at some point in our lives. These are some of my reflections about caregiving.

History was made at the Oscars: Will Smith won an Oscar and slapped Chris Rock. But the "village", Denzel Washington and Tyler Perry stepped in. Why I believe that this is a teachable moment and how we need to be "the village" for each other.

It was 8:00 a.m. and 25 degrees and I was walking back and forth in the pool. And I wondered, "How did I get here?"

I've worn glasses since I was 5 years old. Yesterday, i drove without them!

We say, "Take Care," all of the time. But what does that really mean? And are we really taking care of ourselves?
