Walking in Truth

As Christians, we must get to the point where we no longer feel the need to live the same life we used to live as non-believers. And today, Pastor Johnny tells you that anything that can take you under its influence is a sin. When we indulge in the flesh and let these temptations take over God’s place in our lives, we are sinning.  

Today, Pastor Johnny speaks on the love that extends from God. Real love isn’t always easy to hear or accept. When the people in your life tolerate your sinful ways and enable you to continue in them, they do not love you. But when the people in your life tell you the ugly truth, it’s coming from a place of genuine love. 

There comes a point in our relationship with God where we must be honest with ourselves: have I given myself entirely to the Lord? Do I walk in the Lord’s light? Or do I only tell myself that? And in today’s message, Pastor Johnny wants you to be honest with yourself. How long are you waiting to give yourself to God?

To a non-believer, they might see Satan as an overdramatic entity of evil. But to Christians, Satan is THE enemy, and when you give your life to the Lord, you make an enemy with the Devil. Satan will always try to tempt, corrupt, and lead you away from God. Pastor Johnny tells you there will be a day when the enemy reveals himself. 

Do you remember when you were a child, and your parents would correct you if you didn’t do as they said? Our relationship with God is like a parent and a child. Sometimes, we think we can do everything ourselves and completely ignore God. But today, Pastor Johnny tells you that when you dismiss God, He will correct you. 

As Christians, we must be the salt of the earth and share the good news of salvation in Jesus Christ. But what happens when we become so blinded by our actions? What happens when we don’t extend kindness like Jesus did or serve ourselves over others? Today, Pastor Johnny reminds you of your duties as a follower of Christ. 

Our sins come with baggage. Whether it’s emotional or physical, our actions do have consequences. The question is, will you give your sins to God? Today, Pastor Johnny reminds you that when you repent, you ask God for forgiveness. And when you accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, you are saved from the price of Sin.

If there’s one thing pastor Johnny wants you to take from today’s message, it’s the importance of God’s timing. Sometimes, we humans can be impatient, stubborn, or suffer from a lack of faith. But when you continue to trust in God and give Him all your feelings of anxiety, God will always come through for you. 

Do you remember when you were a kid and always wanted to know where you were going? When you have a relationship with God, it can feel like being a kid again. And at times, not knowing where you’re heading in life can leave you feeling uncertain. But in today’s message, Pastor Johnny tells you to wait on God and trust His timing. 

Can we agree that pop quizzes are terrible? Today, Pastor Johnny talks about the surprise tests that happen in life. You must be ready for when Satan comes and tries to steal the joy you have in Christ. You can be prepared by reading His word. When you are attacked, the best thing to do is fight back with scripture.

God isn’t interested in any outward thing that we provide. In today’s message, Pastor Johnny says that God is only interested in the heart. All he wants is for you to completely trust Him and know that He has your best interest. When you trust God, you can know that no matter what happens in life, God is on your side.

Have you ever been in a place where you were so desperate for help that you would’ve taken anything? Today, Pastor Johnny says that He asks for help every day from God. You sin all the time. Every morning you must wake up and ask God for grace so that he can forgive you completely and you can live in freedom.

God knows your heart. Today, Pastor Johnny says that we can fool people but because God knows our heart, we can never trick Him. If you are honest and repent, God will forgive all that you have done to run from Him. Repent and you will have freedom through the blood of Jesus. God promises to forgive all your sins.

Have you ever felt something so deeply in your heart that you had to do something about it? Today, Pastor Johnny says that God puts things in our hearts to glorify Him. Satan will try and take that away, but you must be strong and remember that you are filled with the Holy Spirit. You are strong through Christ.

This world can provide things that are desired to our flesh, sometimes it’s a nice car or a nice house. Today, Pastor Johnny says it is okay to enjoy those things, but we must be careful that those things don’t possess us. You must be cautious of worldly possessions and ensure that they don’t take you away from God.

If you are a believer, you are filled with the Holy Spirit of God. Today, pastor Johnny says that the spirit of God strengthens us and gives us life. Have you put your faith in God? Trust in God today and you will find a renewed joy in Him. He will guide your every step and He promises life with Him for eternity.

When a house is built on sand, it is shaky and anything can tear it down. In today’s message, Pastor Johnny says that when we put our trust in God, we are on solid ground. Have you put your faith in Christ? If you haven’t you still can. When you put your faith in Christ you will find confidence in something greater than yourself.

Have you ever been anxious? Maybe to the point where you felt powerless? Today, Pastor Johnny says that when we get into that mindset, we must give it up to God. When you give your life to Christ, you will start to see a change around you. Shocking things will start to happen in your life, things that are unexplainable.

When a soldier goes to battle, they must bring their weapon to fight. Today, Pastor Johnny says that when we advise others, we must bring our “sword.” The sword he is referring to is the Bible. When you advise others, you must ensure it aligns with scripture so that you are not leading yourself and others away from God’s desires.

The wisdom of this world is fleeting and will fade. In today’s message, Pastor Johnny says the wisdom of the Lord never fails. It never changes and therefore it is trustworthy. How can you get this wisdom? It’s by believing in Him and reading His word. When you read the Bible you allow God to teach you His way.

There are a lot of things we are faithful to in this world. Sometimes it’s family, a sports team, can even a pet. Today, Pastor Johnny says God calls us to be faithful to Him by living a life of moral integrity. When you are faithful to God, you are saying that His way is greater and fully trusting Him to guide you.

Many people long to be a leader. You expect popularity and power, ease and blessing. But, as a leader, Pastor Johnny will explain today, you’ll often face opposition, challenges, difficult decisions, and attacks. And your best way to stay resilient is to rely on and trust the Lord. Seek after Him. Find your worth in Him. And Let Him guide you! 

As parents, you’re concerned about many things regarding your kids and their future. But, one thing should be your priority as you seek to guide your kids - that they know, love, and follow Jesus in their life. Today, Pastor Johnny will encourage you to model for your child a walk of faith and challenge them to follow the Lord always.  

When you sin or go through moments of doubt, it can be easy to shy away from God out of shame or discouragement. Today, pastor Johnny will remind you that God longs for you to come to Him and surrender yourself to Him no matter what you’re feeling. Remember HIS goodness and grace, not your own struggles and weaknesses! 

So much of the well-being of a nation rises or falls with the leadership that’s in place. Today, Pastor Johnny will explain that this was most certainly the case with the kings in Israel. Good, faithful kings brought prosperity and blessing to the nation. And sinful, proud kings brought evil and darkness to the nation.
