Author and columnist John Boston joins us. He writes for the Santa Clarita Valley Signal. He's also a recipient of a Will Rogers Lifetime Achievement Award.

We traveled to Wilcox, AZ for the annual Wild Bunch Film Festival being held in conjunction with the annual Rex Allen Days.

For our Movie Saturday program streamed live from the White Stallion Ranch, we celebrated the life and career of Don Collier. He passed away from cancer last week at age 92. Susan McCray, the casting director for the High Chaparral TV series, joins us. She and Don have been close friends for the last 50 years.

Asleep at the Wheel front man Ray Benson joins us to talk about Western music--the evolution of it and the people who played it. Asleep at the Wheel is scheduled to be in concert in Tucson Oct. 8. The band has been playing western music for the last 50 years.

Hollywood armorer Hannah Reed joins us. She's just coming off her first movie serving as the lead armorer. She learned her trade from one of the best--her father, Thell Reed, who was one of the fastest guns in Hollywood and trained a ton of actors on how to use firearms.

Western Writers of America author Kellen Cutsforth joins us for the hour to talk about entertainment legend Buffalo Bill. Cutsforth's latest book, Buffalo Bill and the Birth of American Celebrity , chronicles the life of the showman and how he brought the American Old West to audiences in the eastern U.S. as well as in Europe.

Mark Edward Langley returns to our microphones. He's the author of Arthur Takai mysteries--stories about a private detective who works with the Navajo Nation.

Cowboy Hat Maker to the Stars Tom Hirt joins us for the hour. He's been making hats the old-fashioned way (by hand) for a number of years. His first hat was for actor Sam Elliott. Tom also makes hats for Val Kilmer (Doc Holliday-1993 Tombstone) that Val markets on his website. Tom Hirt hats are a one-of-a-kind hat.

Our show topic for this edition is our co-host and friend Bunker de France. We celebrate his birthday and talk about his work in the motion picture business as a stuntman. High Chaparral Casting Director Susan McCray is our guest.

Retired cowboy actor turned makeup artist Larry Darr joins us. He worked on the Tombstone Territory and Bat Masterson shows. He also did makeup on the cast of the Loveboat during the show's run.

Filmmaker Chris Burgard is our guest. He's a former actor turned director and filmmaker. He's known for the 2007 documentary "Border" about the southern U.S. border.

We take a look at the life and career of Hollywood stuntman and stunt coordinator Jerry Gatlin. Gatlin worked with John Wayne and many other actors. He passed away March 2021.

On today's show we'll talk with a guy who's been in the Western industry for more than 30 years. Bill Reynolds is an author, former owner of the Edward H. Bohlin Company, famous saddler and silversmith to the stars including Roy Rogers, Gene Autry, Hopalong Cassidy, and The Lone Ranger. He also has been a consultant on a number of western films.

This show focuses on the life and career of actor Johnny Crawford. He's best known as Mark McCain on "The Rifleman" but was also an accomplished musician.
