On Sunday, James started our new series on Nehemiah, and began by giving us a historical overview to help us understand the context in which the book was written. James looked at how Nehemiah was burdened for the state of Jerusalem and how his response was to pray and to fast. He also spoke about how vision is often birthed out of a place of burden.

Matt continued our 'Kingdom Carriers' series, revisiting the moment Jesus commissioned and sent out his disciples, and how this can change our mindset as we step forward into the authority God has bestowed upon us.

On Sunday evening, James spoke on relationships, sharing some common lies that we believe, such as thinking that another human can complete us and give us value and worth, whereas we actually have intrinsic value because we were created in God's image. He challenged us to be less concerned on finding the right person, and instead becoming the right person; the person that God has called us to be.
