Two Nerd Tables and a Microphone

This week we were all over the place topic wise, but we did finally get around to brewing up a really fun mono red Imp that's playing with your graveyard. This week's mechanic is: Haunt: (When this creature dies, exile it haunting target creature.)

We made a sweet 4 color bug samurai this week. Also, it was my birthday, so thing get... a little weird. This week's mechanic: Bushido: Bushido N (Whenever this creature blocks or becomes blocked, it gets +N/+N until end of turn.)

Our new friend Brobos is a a boros cyclops that's here to party...and bring a healthy dose of value to red/white. We some how stumbled into an "un" commander this week with our mono blue spirit wizard. She's big into clues and madness. She's also maybe probably a giant, well endowed, disembodied top hat.

This week we drum up an Ink-Treader(red/green/white/blue)Afterlife commander that just loves her some spirits. Due to unforeseen circumstances, we took the holiday weekend off. But, WE'RE BACK...with a brand new commander. This week we played around with the now defunct mechanic Recover the create an Azorius god who wants to cast cards FROM THE BEYOND!!! It's been two weeks since we last recorded an episode, and we are coming in hot. This week we took a stab at creating commander in Orzhov(White/Black) using the Heroic mechanic. Heroic: "Whenever you cast a spell that targets this card, …" We also talk about TJ's junk and my love life...or lack there of.

We mixed things up a little this episode for our mono white Transform/Fateseal commander Fateseal X: look at the top X cards of an opponent's library, then put any number of them on the bottom of that player's library and the rest on top in any order. Transform: double face card. I also do a quick and spot on impression of TJ due to some technical difficulties.

This week's mechanic was Kinship: "At the beginning of your upkeep, you may look at the top card of your library. If it shares a creature type with this Card, you may reveal it. If you do, ..." Also this week, Andrew is wildly hungover and TJ wants a pet manticore.

This week's mechanic is Unearth: "Unearth [cost] (Return this card from your graveyard to the battlefield. It gains haste. Exile it at the beginning of the next end step or if it would leave the battlefield. Unearth only as a sorcery.)" Plus TJ got himself a new mic, so he sounds delicious. And he also found the last bait shop in America selling porno mags.

This week's mechanic is Sweep: "Return any number of [basic lands] you control to their owner's hand..."a triggered ability occurs because of this action. We spin that idea into an Aetherborn wizard looking to sling some spells. We also get inappropriate and Andrew drinks beers.

This week's mechanic was mentor. "Whenever this creature attacks, put a +1/+1 counter on target attacking creature with power less than this creature's power." We also shared out thoughts on personal grooming and the city of Boston. This week's unofficial beer sponsor was once again Southern Grist Brewery.
