I had high expectations for this flick when the news was announced years back but when that trailer dropped and that Sonic design followed, yikes... This looked incredibly bad. I went back on my word and actually gave this a shot. Because at heart, I am a big Sonic fan and have been since I owned my very first Sega Genesis system (those games gave me many headaches). I gave this the benefit of the...

Just a heads up for any listeners, I had a disruption so towards the last few minutes of this commentary, my audio is cut short... I apologize for the inconvenience if anyone was that invested to make it through this in it's entirety. But I was so invested myself in this documentary, I uploaded this episode anyhow. That's how amazing this documentary was for me. An absolute 10/10, and OVERLY inspi...

This franchise doesn't have the most amazing track record by any means... But THIS. This was not only a slap to the face and an insult to my intelligence at times, but it's just horribly put together. With the exception of the opening scene, some cameos from the OG cast, and some gore bits, this here is one of the worst attempts at Leatherface by far. Enjoy, y'all.

This caught me way off guard, so I had to share my opinions briefly here... I know it would be coming soon, but I didn't expect to wake right up to it all over the internet. This is a big deal that can make or break a Batman film (yes, you, Batman & Robin), so I was both excited and nervous. Enjoy, folks.

After taking a long hiatus from acting, Rick Moranis is returning back to the big screen as one of his most memorable roles: Wayne Salinski from Honey, I Shrunk The Kids. I won't lie, this is an epic childhood classic for me, and I actually dig the sequel quite a bit. But this is said to be a "reboot", yet it takes place after the events of the first film. Dear, Disney... Just let it be what it is...

This movie is almost like the epitome of why video game adaptations don't work on screen, for horror anyway... Hence why it will forever live in the shadow of things like Resident Evil and Doom. At least I can have genuine fun with those. But this... Not this. This was just a task to get through, and still is. Try to enjoy, folks.

I tried to keep it as brief as I could, considering... So I will do the same in this description. Just give me a few minutes to explain why I think this could work on screen again. Enjoy, y'all.

Scream blew the doors off the 90s slasher era for sure, and one of those films that I feel survived well in the moshpit of teen horror we got during was Urban Legend... Jamie Blanks did an amazing job crafting a inventive and stylish slasher, that is truly underrated for me. So when the news broke recently about the old UL being rebooted, I was actually surprised. And while I am off and on with th...

It dawned on me last night that deep down inside, I actually DO want a sequel to Tim Burton's hit Beetlejuice... I truly do. Normally these long awaited (20+ year wait) sequels tend to flop and ruin so much. But with the right people involved, this could actually work really well within the Tim Burton universe for the titular character. Just some thoughts on what I would do here. Enjoy, y'all.

Sometimes I can't believe this franchise has managed to keep me hyped and completely entertained all this damn time... Most action series run out of fuel (pun intended) at this point, but the ante is upped every single time a new entry drops. And with Fast 9 coming soon, news is already coming about Fast 10 and what may come with it. A two parter to cap this saga off?... Count me all the way in. B...

I don't do bugs... Anything that moves faster than I can and makes me itch shouldn't be around me. So seeing them on screen has an effect on me as well. There's Arachnophobia, Slugs, They Nest, and then there's this: yet another underrated gem for me. The fact that it can still creep me out the way it does is a plus, so I had to get this review off the ground. And also I had to shout out one of th...

I was a bit hard on the Marvel and the MCU back when I did an episode involving themnand DC, so I decided to discuss some upcoming properties they have and whether they have my interest or not... And sure enough, some of them do. Not all of these MCU flicks are home runs for me, no matter the acclaim they have, but one thing they're good at is teasing the right stuff. They know they have their nex...

Some deaths of token black people in movies are expected... But some of these are just plain foul and heartbreaking for me. They either get killed in the most brutal fashion, or they make it to the end just to be killed off somehow. These are just a bunch that stand out to me in the horror genre more than usual. Enjoy, folks.

The cliché is that the token black guy/girl always gets killed in the horror movie... Whether it's early on, or at the every end. But me being me and being a horror buff, I know that's not always the case. In fact, there's even more examples of black people making it through horror flicks than I mention here. I just was too tired to look them up. But I noted 25 moments when we pulled our weight an...

The Terminator franchise has one of those "choose your own adventure" timelines, which is why it's very cluttered. Even with T1, T2, and T4 being my favorites, even those entries have some plot holes I can't let slide. But with Dark Fate changing the game and while being a direct sequel to T2, it's time to wipe the slate clean and start fresh in my opinion. I didn't get too deep here, but this is...

Safe to say that the Final Destination series has succeeded at making me nervous about anything familiar with it's death sequences... If I see a single flatbed truck handling anything dangerous, I start to wonder why I'm even near it. No matter what the death sequence may be, this series makes it work and makes it count when these people meet their maker. I didn't get to do an ultimate list, but I...

Spawn is one of those comic book characters that put a huge smile on my face as a kid, just by how dark he was in tone... I wasn't used to such grim heroes like that, so it was a joy to see that on screen back in 1997. But with only a big screen adaptation and an HBO series in the can, I need to know just what is going on with this new reboot. Pre-production hiatuses tend to scare me, so this has...

Saw is one of those torture porn flicks that gets all credit and acclaim from me due to it's storyline and creativity... It's the only horror franchise with damn near perfect continuity. So y'all can imagine my disappointment with the last entry being so lame. My excitement was a bit off with the news of this new entry and after seeing this new trailer, my excitement is as dead as John Kramer aka...

With today being the day Donald Pleasance passed away, the bit lighter side of the date is I was able to honor and celebrate the birthday of my OG zombie killer, Duane Jones... Not only apart of my favorite film ever made, but a barrier breaker of color on screen (ironically enough, it was for a black and white film). So I break down my top moments of his during the longest night 1968 had seen. Ha...

Today marks the day that Donald Pleasance passed away back in 1995, and I remember feeling like I had lost a mystical type of Uncle or something... This is a guy who was such a presence on screen for me. Aside from being in a plethora of films throughout the years, his portrayal of Dr. Loomis in the Halloween series is by far my favorite. To show him some love and respect, I discuss my favorite mo...

So after surviving multiple viewings of the Fast 9 trailer that dropped this afternoon, I got a chance to break some things down and take a deeper look... And while I do have some questions, I'm absolutely loving what I'm seeing for the most part. My brain is a bit on overload now, so I didn't get to do a frame by frame breakdown. But here are just some crazy things that caught my eye, and things...

I've waited... It's here. That is all. Enjoy, y'all.

I'm a sucker for underrated gems, especially horror ones... So this is a review I've been waiting for the moment I started this podcast. I consider the 90s the era of horror that wasn't as appreciated, so I had to show some love to this campy slasher flick. There's a lot of fun to be had here, and we really don't get unique slashers like this anymore. "Buy a bag, go home in a box" will always be a...

The Fast 9 trailer is coming tomorrow... I'm about to lose my mind. So in preparation for losing what sanity is left, I tackled my favorite action scenes in the series (not including Hobbs & Shaw). Enjoy, folks.

What a treat to realize this underrated gem of mine was celebrating it's 23rd year in cinema... This is easily one of my favorite films ever, and one of Tupac Shakur's most underrated films also. Him and Tim Roth make this a classic for me, and it's just such a wild ride set in a very normal world. I had to let it run it's course and have some fun with this one here. Enjoy, people.
