I got a hit up on Facebook about this here, and I had no idea what it was... But not only do I like some good short films, I like the ones that are horror based and Philly bound. So I figured why not do another first time watch commentary, especially for something that wasn't time consuming. The catch here?... I needed way more time. Enjoy, folks.

It just had to be a damn tv show didn't it?... They just can't learn from the already horrendous three different versions of George A. Romero's underrated classic Day Of The Dead. So what do they do? I've noticed that there's a very unnoticed thing happening with horror movies that may or may not pick up... Candyman 2020 has been the most recent film to give a slasher movie the "direct sequel" treatment. This series of films is one that I'm not too particularly crazy about honestly... I mean, they broke barriers in action/sci-fi cinema for certain. But all I know is that if there's indeed going to be another person donning the Ghostface mask and costume, this needs to be a sequel for many reasons. Don't get me wrong here... There is MUCH fun to be had when I watch this movie. But the majority of the things this flick tries to get away with just can't be excused. This franchise doesn't have the most amazing track record by any means... But THIS. This was not only a slap to the face and an insult to my intelligence at times, but it's just horribly put together. With the exception of the opening scene, some cameos from the OG cast, and some gore bits, this here is one of the worst attempts at Leatherface by far. Enjoy, y'all.

After taking a long hiatus from acting, Rick Moranis is returning back to the big screen as one of his most memorable roles: Wayne Salinski from Honey, I Shrunk The Kids. I won't lie, this is an epic childhood classic for me, and I actually dig the sequel quite a bit. But this is said to be a "reboot", yet it takes place after the events of the first film. Dear, Disney... Just let it be what it is...

This movie is almost like the epitome of why video game adaptations don't work on screen, for horror anyway... Hence why it will forever live in the shadow of things like Resident Evil and Doom. At least I can have genuine fun with those. But this... Not this. This was just a task to get through, and still is. Try to enjoy, folks.
