Other than the most memorable scene in this movie, it's gotten by me over the years... And since that one scene sticks out and people have recommended it to me multiple times, I finally decided to give it a go. Other than The Fly, I'm not the craziest person when it comes to David Cronenberg, but that's only because his movies tend to go way off the deep end with effects. Which is fine. So I had t...

So one of the Game Of Thrones Dragons---er, "Monsters" attack in this new clip from Paul W. S. Anderson's live action adaptation... I still haven't played the game, so my hype is almost nonexistent. But my curiosity on the other hand, always gets the best of me with these oversize creature features, so why not give it a spin or two? Enjoy, people.

I always look to be proven wrong with this particular sub-genre... The whole "crazy woman/crazy man-adultery-psycho stalker" angle has been done to death, but I'm strangely drawn to it. What I didn't want to do was write off Deon Taylor as a director, so I wanted to give this a fair shot and react to it. Then there are days when I feel like these types of movies are the crazy woman coming after me...

So with the new news of the remake casting Peter Dinklage in, what appears to be, a lead role, I decided to backtrack and head on over to the OG flick... There's nothing like source material. Especially when there's a bit of childhood nostalgia involved. While I think this new remake will definitely try to water things down, this movie is remembered for being sleazy, cheesy, and brutal. Which is w...

What a find!... I've actually been looking for this one for the longest, but it's been keeping away from me. But nothing can keep me from a childhood 90s classic like this. While I absolutely love the tv show, this is the source material for me so it'll always have nostalgia in my heart for certain. Kristy Swanson has never been more of a bad ass on screen in my opinion and to have the late great...

As a fan of stuff like Wrong Turn, Hatchet and The Hills Have Eyes, I'm down with disfigured slashers running amok and cutting their way through characters on screen. It's even more of a plus if I can root for those characters to fight back and survive. But one thing I can't be, when it comes to horror movies, is tricked. I've been there before. So I'm a bit careful going into these Indie horror f...

Leviathan, Deep Rising, even movies like Virus... Safe to say I'm a sucker for either sea monsters or just crews at sea flicks in the horror genre. The idea of an unknown creature coming after you on their turf, which is already frightening enough, is nightmare inducing for me. This dates back to when I was heavy into oceanography as a kid. So I always wondered what was the big boss just waiting a...

I couldn't pass up the chance to cover this classic gem before it vanished from the free movies section... I've honestly been wanting to do this since the news of the race swap remake, which I'm actually fully against. There's just too much flair in this movie that captures the essence of the 90s era, in more ways than several. And due to the fact that this title is misleading (yes, it is), I love...

Just when I had the chance to cap off the original Scream series with the very first movie, I couldn't resist... This is a Scream title that truly turned me around after more than a few watches. I learned to appreciate how much diversity was injected into the title this time around, and how they took the meta dynamic to a whole different level. Perfect for a Scream property? Not quite. But relatab...

I kept it a complete bean with y'all when I said I have never even seen the 1995 version of Castle Freak... I'm sure I'm long overdue for a watch, so that'll happen soon enough. But the idea of the remake had me curious still, especially since original star Barbara Crampton is producing this here. So we shall see. Enjoy, people.

When it comes to slashers, of course this guy is in my top 3 of all time... Regardless of whether I have to be asleep to get the full effect of his wrath, it still sticks, at least when he is scary. Like he is here. This is the first time, and rightfully so, that Freddy Kruger is scary and a damn mess. He would go on to become a stand up comic in his own films, but this is the one that broke barri...

And to think I was having a bit of a mental block today, as far as content goes... I should've tackled this classic ages ago. John Singleton broke so many barriers with this directorial debut, and for damn good reason. The fact that this still hits on so many levels in today's society speaks so many volumes for me. I don't think I've ever appreciated this movie as much as I do these days. Enjoy, f...

This title should've been a red flag for me from the jump... But because Mena Suvari was in the headline here, I was intrigued. I think she's a fine actress, but I wish she was in way better flicks. After the Day Of The Dead remake, she's returned back to the horror genre with a typical wicked stepfather go round, but with a monster movie twist. For something we've seen done to death put a creatur...

This was a flick I had seen around when it first came out back in 2016 or so but when people rave about a horror movie or movie in general, I never buy into the hype... It just never works out. But a few of the fellow CineManiacs had recommended this to me and others voted for it to be one of my next episodes, so here it is. I'll let the listeners see how this plays out, but all I'll say is that t...

I remember Blumhouse dropped a simple and subtle poster for this movie, and it actually had me pretty interested in the idea... And this is coming from someone who isn't too big on the original yet loves the 2006 remake to death. Being as though Blumhouse has a hit or miss record with their movies, I gave them the benefit of the doubt with this one here. Nope. Nope, they showed me that Christmas i...

When I say this is literally something I've prayed for, people... I am not kidding in the slightest. From theorizing ideas for a sequel to fan casting a remake, this is something that I couldn't ask for more. Jordan Peele is the perfect person to get behind a remake for The People Under The Stairs and people who are savvy to his body of work and what it stands for, you know exactly why. Enjoy, fol...

Michael. Fucking. Myers.... Halloween. Kills. That is all. Enjoy, y'all.

Night Of The Living Dead is obviously my favorite film of all time... And being as though nobody could seem to respect it enough to even get it right after the 1990 remake, there's really nowhere to go but up with this property, right? So when the news broke that a new remake is in the works, I actually was pretty thrilled. But then something happened that totally made me second guess, but I'll le...

Nothing like some 90s blaxploitation horror/comedy for the evening... It's a genre that needs so much more love and respect, but it's been active before I was even born. Had it not been for the template films, we wouldn't have gems like this here, and with an all star cast that was quite recognizable from it's time. What a way for the late and great Wes Craven and Charlie Murphy to collab with Edd...

What I say in the opening bits may come as a shock, but I'll let you all hear it for yourselves... Nonetheless this had me curious when I saw it pop up in my Facebook timeline, because certain sci-fi movies always peak my interest. And since I can't bring myself to finish Interstellar, maybe this will give me motivation. Enjoy, people.

If there's one thing that makes me itch, it's bugs.... Big, small, the size of a basketball player, whatever. Just no. So the idea of a genetic experiment gone awry in the form of mutated cockroaches is just insane to me. But in a way that amazes me with the impact it still has on me. This was the first of three go rounds with the Judas Breed bugs here, and it's the best one you're going to see on...

Being a self proclaimed Halloween movie buff, I had to show love... This was a sequel that set Michael's bad assery in stone differently. The Shape's presence was so needed after Halloween III: Season Of The Witch strayed away from the characters and story we've come to know and love, but what a chess move for the producers and crew to bring the big guy back home for another night of trick or trea...

Majority wins, so this one was a good one to let people vote on... Not to mention that it's one of my favorite movies. From a tragic on set disaster to behind the scenes mayhem to a "cursed" set after reboots were tried repeatedly, this property has had it's ups and downs. But THIS. This is the classic. The whole gothic and Halloween theme driven aspects are some elements that truly set this apart...

We're right back at Crystal Lake, people... Out of all the places to be, I think I visit here the most when it comes to my slashers. I actually was supposed to do this last week or so. But better late than never. Jason deserves his respect. Enjoy, y'all.

What a treat to get not only another Halloween fan film, but to get one around the time Halloween Kills was supposed to drop... That's a gesture only true fans can make for the fans themselves. Enjoy, people.
