Not many 80s slasher movies genuinely scared me back in the day, but this was always such a gem to me... From the backstory of the Garth family to the setting of Garth manor, there's so many pluses that fly here. There's also two monsters for the price of one, which complicates things for our victims in the mix. Enjoy, folks.

Rest In Peace to Joe "Crazy Joe" Clark, and I stand on when I said that today's kids and society overall could use the presence of someone so impactful... Obviously this movie is another classic but given the way things tend to go in today's school system, the relevance here is stronger than ever. Enjoy, people.

If there was ever a time in my life where I would fully invite toxicity into my podcast, it's right now... The fact that this actually happened and the fact that I've always low key wanted to see it play out, I was happy it came to life. R-rating and all, they've claimed to keep the spirit of the nasty and exploitation around, so that's a win. Whether it's good or not is still up in the air. Enjoy...

Every time I go back and revisit this one, I'm reminded of just how calmly terrifying Samuel L. Jackson can be on screen... In this movie, he's like the most modest, petty and easy going serial killer to ever touch a grade book. Enjoy, y'all.

And let me just say that Mrs. Tingle here has officially surpassed all of my teachers of terror I've encountered during my years of school. This is easily as joyful as we're going to get with the theme this month, and I'm completely alright with that... I've said it before and I'll say it again, this movie is so amazingly epic that it's hard to even entertain the idea of a third film. The jury is still out on that, but my overall reactions are proof that this may be one of the best sing-a-long films ever. Enjoy, folks.

Have y'all ever heard the one about the podcaster who was long overdue for his commentary for this underrated slasher?... It plays out pretty well actually, because there's a lot of praise to be had here since it seems Jamie Blanks still doesn't get his dues for this. It's almost a love letter to genre fans with some of it's casting and some moments. Enjoy, people.

I'm not going to lie, this chick started off as one cool and interesting roommate... Very much into art, steers clear of clubs and bars, pretty much introverted, etc.... All was well until the whole murderous threat, stage five clinger, completely insane stuff came into the mix. That really derailed our chances to get along, but maybe she can share a strong bond with Sara here. Right? Enjoy, folks...

I noticed that this kind of doesn't make sense for a Back To School episode when these sorority sisters are nearing the end of the year when shit hits the fans... But the lessons learned still count here. This is another one of those cases where the remake is better than the original, and I forgot this sets itself up for a sequel. Black Christmas 2019 probably made sure all cinematic sorority hous...

Kicking off this month's theme with my favorite of these types of films... The ones where the teacher tries his/her best to reason with and educate a bunch of bad ass kids/teens. From the moment Gangsta's Paradise sets the opening credits off to the moment these students convince LouAnne Johnson to stay at Parkmont High School. Poetry in motion, pun intended. Enjoy, y'all.

I believe there's 5 more episodes left of this show at this point, so I'll make this the point where we break for a bit and let the first half of this season settle in... It's definitely been a solid ride so far, and I'm really looking forward to a strong closer. And some insane car carnage that I came here for in the first place. Enjoy, people.

The folks that John Doe and Quiet run into during this episode, I had them all wrong... While I prejudged them, they turned out being some of the most interesting characters in the series so far. There's a code of the road they live by, and die by. Enjoy, folks.
