This was always one that resonates on a different level... In a world full of black cinema classics, this is one that is somehow filled with drama yet brings so much warmth where need be. The balancing act here is one for the books. Enjoy, y'all.

Just a disclaimer here... Please try to ignore how I start to ramble on and lose track of my initial thoughts by the time I'm done rating this one. For some reason, I think I talk more about consumerism and Black Friday more than I should. It's been a long month, but I'll probably take an oath my damn self to pull it together here. Better late than never, but this month has been more of a scramble than what these folks in this toy store have to deal with here... I'm still not sure whether these are zombies, mutants or what, but they are nasty and a bit hungry. Enjoy, people.

There's the side of me that sticks to my thoughts about this being a terrible and unnecessary sequel... Then the other side of me has that optimism that I may regret. Somebody get George Lucas on the horn and tell him that Zack Snyder would like to talk to him about joining "forces", pun intended... If this is Snyder's official Star Wars audition, then I'm here for it. There may be a terrible remake, an even worse remake after that remake, a prequel that is an abomination to all zombie movies, and a cash grab SyFy series... But there can only be one Day, and it's still one of the darkest days ever on screen. This was zombie moments at their peak. Enjoy, y'all.

Revisiting this particular episode brought me back to the fact that the zombies were the least of Rick Grimes and his crew's worries... It's not the undead cannibals that just may wipe humans out. It's the live ones that share the same dietary plan. Enjoy, folks.

So Afterlife was such a huge surprise for me when it came out and since it delivered more than expected, I wasn't sure why a follow up was even needed... Sometimes things can run dry and I'm learning now more than ever that you can quit while you're ahead. But to do a sequel to Afterlife is a ballsy move, so color me curious. Enjoy, people.

This was Eli Roth reminding folks... Reminding them that he's a force to he reckoned with in the horror genre, and that he can turn a rainforest into the most brutal and hellish adventure ever. Enjoy, y'all.

To put it simple and plain, this movie is a Halloween horror anthology classic... That is it, that is all. And also, let me add that Sam is one of the most interesting characters to ever grace an anthology. So kudos to him. Enjoy, y'all.

I had already seen Willy's Wonderland, so I felt no need whatsoever to even check this out... But we give the source material a chance around these parts, so I took a chance on these animatronics here. They should've been given an R-rating, but I understand the target audience. Enjoy, people.

Back to Hull House we go... Full of cobwebs, demonic infestation, and hallways for Angela and her new friends to creep around in. The first movie is a very tough act to follow, but this sequel I feel is very slept on as far as how entertaining it gets. Enjoy, people.

Stephen King adaptations had a hell of a run long before the remakes of IT, Firestarter, and Pet Sematary... Whether good or bad, there was no run like the 90s, and this is one that could've been one of the best for sure. While the nostalgia is heavy, the plot holes get wild but there's no denying my favorite (possibly the only) bat/rat on screen. Enjoy, folks.

Who the hell just up and decides to remake one of the most classic zombie movies of all TIME?... The answer is the guy who would go on to become one of the industry's most visionary directors ever. Who also is one of the industry's most underappreciated creators overall, but folks will learn to appreciate his savvy soon enough. So to celebrate the birthday of the man who played Hannibal King, Deadpool, Green Lantern AND Deadpool again, I went back to one of his more serious roles... The horror the title implies is very much present, but I think this is one of those remakes I may like more than the original. The jury is still kind of out on that since I haven't seen the original in a while, but this was a good rewatch. A...

There was a lot of hesitation with this one, and some are probably curious why... It started with me pretty much thinking I wasn't going to enjoy this since I was never that big on it. And it ended with me definitely remembering why this is hailed as a Halloween season classic. Enjoy, people.

It slipped my mind that today is Guillermo del Toro's birthday, so this seems pretty appropriate... As a certified geek for these books, this was and dream come true to see come to life. Does the rating restrict it from some wild things tonally? Sure. But do they manage to create a great atmosphere overall and some memorable moments? Absolutely. Enjoy, people.

There's no getting around what damn near everyone says about any of these movie outside of the original... "Sometimes Dead Is Better". I won't say whether that applies here overall or not, but I can say that they try to add context to Jud and the town of Ludlow. Enjoy, y'all.
