Judgment is about to be unleashed upon the world, but it will be unleashed from God's throne.  God's throne is a throne of judgment, but for the believer it is a throne of grace!

In chapter 4 we see the church is raptured and in Heaven.

In this passage we see the lukewarm church.  Jesus has nothing good to say about this church. His command to this church is "repent."

Like Smyrna the Church in Philadelphia did not receive any rebuke from the LORD. The Church at Smyrna was persecuted, and the Church at Philadelphia was evangelistic.

Jesus does not begin his address to this church with a compliment, but instead He rebukes them.  They had a good reputation in man's eyes, but to the LORD they were dead.   To be dead indicates no struggle, no fight, no persecution. In this second part study of Revelation 2 Pastor Kevin looks at the letters given to the churches Of Pergamos and Thyatira.

The letters to the 7 churches have a 4-fold application. They are to be applied locally, ecclesiastically, personally, and prophetically. In this message Pastor Kevin will look at the letters given to the church of Ephesus and Smyrna.

In the second part of this study we see John the Apostle is commanded to write what he sees and send it unto the seven churches of Asia Minor. 

In this passage of study we will see the purpose of this book, and that is to reveal Jesus! The main purpose is for us to know Jesus better and to have a closer walk with Him.

In Genesis 1:2 God said..."Let there be light: and there was light."  This light appeared before the sun, moon, and stars. The light of God's presence was upon the world and continued to appear in different ways... as a light, fire, cloud, or a combination of these. The same angel who visited Zecharias is now sent from God to Mary.  Here we will see another announcement of an even more amazing birth.  

Here we see a continuation from where the book of Malachi ended.  In this passage we will learn of a certain priest. He was one of 22,000 that served in Jerusalem. This priest Zecharias was chosen by lot to offer incense in the holy place of the temple.  There the angel Gabriel appears to him to tell him that God had remembered his prayer, and his prayer will be answered.
