This week we discussed the awfulness of Adelaide's two results against the Wanderers, and cast our eye over what looks to be a thin Socceroos squad ahead of two massive WC Qualifiers against Japan and Saudi Arabia.

Benzema sweeps aside the entire PSG squad to send them packing back to Ligue 1, Newcastle are denied a blatant penalty, and Ronny papers over United's cracks with a vintage hatty.

We begin to run out of things to say about Craig Goodwin as we celebrate another magic moment at Hindmarsh capped off by Mo Toure, the girls season came to an end but we're all super proud, and can Jamie Maclaren beat Berisha as the A-League's top all time goal scorer?

Yep, boots. We had a chat about football boots. Of course there was also plenty of football chat, complete with the weekly chuckle at Man United, a look forward to the looming UCL 2nd legs, and Tommy calls Oli Giroud one of the all time greats.

A big, big, win for Adelaide away to Perth sees us lock in 3rd place for the time being. We went over that, the future of Jakobsen at United, the laughing stock that is Sydney FC at the moment, and the fact that Western United could be Premiers.

Tommy was a little down early on. We postponed the pod by a day after to allow for mourning over Bielsa's departure from Leeds. The Carabao Cup final was an absolute cracker of the highest quality, and there was also some interesting twists and turns in the race for the fourth Champions League spot in England.

Another Adelaide young gun produces a magical moment at Hindmarsh, with Irankunda smashing home a 92nd minute winner against the Mariners. The women's team got a big 3-0 win over Melbourne Victory, with Worts' hattrick ensuring we play finals football for the first time. Plenty of footy to cover across Europe. The swings and roundabouts of both Celtic and Rangers' seasons keep on turning, and there was plenty to look back on and look forward to in the UEFA Champions League. Also, is the title race back on in the Prem? A big loss for City at home gives Liverpool a sniff.

Adelaide had another rollercoaster week. Did the fortunate win over Melbourne City paper over the cracks that Macarthur were able to take full advantage of?

A big rap up of what went on in Australian football. But first we talked smack about a bunch of seemingly unimportant January transfers, and train carriages in fast food outlets. We talked about the failure that was the Matilda's Asian Cup campaign and the pressures of next year's World Cup, as well as the Socceroos big win over Vietnam, and a bunch of A-League action.

After a good chat about what's shaping up to be a good 6-way relegation battle, Sammy got salty about Arsenal's lack of ability to beat an infuriating Burnley, and of course.... there was plenty of ranting and raving about THAT penalty decision in the Liverpool/Palace game. We went over Adelaide's (weirdly timed**) team of the decade for 2010-2019, who we would have in or out of the side, plus the goal of the decade, save of the decade, match of the decade, and of course the weekend's 3-1 victory over Brisbane ALL HAIL KING GOODY! **It did come out a few years ago, but apparently we're on Perth time at NSF.

We close in on our first birthday by mourning the loss of the Salisbury Macca's Tram/Train, frothing over the brilliance of James Ward-Prowse, the boorishness of Newcastle, Watford, and Chelsea, and having a good long yarn about Adelaide United. Where better to get some football chat than two dudes rambling on the internet? Adelaide stole a point away to top of the table Melbourne Victory over the weekend, and there was a bit to discuss in the way of transfer rumours. Newcastle made some moves, Serie A had some goals, FA Cup came and went, and the AFCON got underway in yet another busy, busy week of football.

We sat down for a late night ramble about Adelaide's home FFA Cup defeat to Melbourne Victory, which turned into more of a grumble about the certain individuals, the squad as a whole, and some of the toxicity of fans at Hindmarsh.

It's a new year and Adelaide are CLEARLY the most inform team in the A-League, being the only side to win all year! Sam got pretty salty about Manchester City's win at the Emirates, Tom got pretty salty about postponements or lack of postponements, and we all got salty about the Guardian's list of the 100 best male footballers in 2021.

This week it was referees, covid, and our very own Adelaide United in the firing line. The reds suck, refs suck, covid sucks, and since we're talking about all things sucky, we thought we should also mention Graham Arnold. We also talked about things that didn't suck.... the Melbourne derby, the title fight in Italy, and big Ange Postecoglou getting his first trophy as Celtic manager.

Well, well, well, Adelaide suck. We talked about how bad Adelaide were against Melbourne Victory and some of the squad problems, as well as a quick chat about what Adelaide's responsibility is to the rural football fans of South Australia. Then, from 37.02 we completely teed off on the craziness of the penalties given throughout the Premier League weekend, and maybe got a bit carried away ourselve...
