We kicked off this weeks ep with a chat about the inaugural Night Shift Fantasy league and some of the great and not so great names, before diving into the week's Premier League action which of course includes the freak that is Haaland, the disaster that is McFred, and the hunger of Mitrovic.

Adelaide United were back in competitive action over the weekend, with a 2-0 win away to Newcastle securing the Reds' progression to the next round of the Australia Cup.

We sat down for an offseason chin-wag about some of the things going on in football. On this pod: Dario Vidosic is a Pirate, United fans boo their own players, what's the purpose behind bringing European clubs to Australia, and the transfers of Gabriel Jesus, Raheem Sterling, and Robert Lewandowski.

The Roos are through to the WC after all the drama of a penalty shootout. We discussed both sides of the coin... the positive of qualifying for our 5th consecutive World Cup, but also why we can't let our qualification paper over the gaping holes in Australian Football.

HIRO SIGNS ON! The Reds secure the services of Hiroshi Ibusuki, midfielder Zac Clough, and full back Harry Van der Saag. We also discussed Yengi's move to WSW being made official, and who could forget our green and gold Socceroos, doing us proud as they limp along to within one game of the World Cup.

In our European season finale we discussed the Champions League final, the troubles with French football fans, and went through our own Night Shift Football Awards for the best in the Premier League this season.

There was plenty of talking points this week in Australian football. The A-League Grand Final, the A-Leagues awards ceremony, Adelaide's ins and outs for next season so far, the absolute state of the Socceroos squad, and we have a good giggle at some of our pre-season A-League predictions.

The season is just about done! With only the Champions League and Conference League finals to play, we looked back over the weekend's Premier League finale, Serie A finale, and the action from an enthralling Europa League final between Frankfurt and Rangers

Adelaide's gallant run has come to end, bowing out of the A-League finals race after a 2-1 loss to Melbourne City. We discussed the highs and lows of the two legged semi clash, and had a bit of a chat about the nonsense that is the A-League All Stars and even more nonsensical, the entire concept that is Western United.

Yep, Liverpool have snatched another cup with a final still to play, Arsenal got battered in by Spurs in the Derby, Sam Kerr did Sam Kerr tings in the Women's FA Cup Final, and Milan are just a draw away from securing the Scudetto in Italy

Adelaide smash past CCM at home to secure another home final in a few days time. This time, a 2 legged Semi against Melbourne City. Are the Reds going all the way? We're saying book your flights!

BRING THE TOILET SEAT HOME! Adelaide secured a home final after a thrilling 2-1 win over the WU, and now face Central Coast at Hindmarsh in a do or die elimination final. We discussed Adelaide's chances, how bad Sydney are, who the final's favourites are, and why the A-League All Star idea is an absolute shambles.

The Champions League and Europa League season's reach their summit, Ange inches closer to winning the title in Scotland, Madrid wrap up La Liga, and Milan and Inter look to go down to the wire in Italy.

Absolute scenes this week as Adelaide United secure finals football! We discussed a decent performance against the raw, the highs and lows of Piet's time at Adelaide United courtesy of The Inner Sanctum, why nobody cares about the ACL, and we also discuss the fatal flaw in our pod that is Robbie Slater agreeing with us.

Yep, we had yet another giggle at the misfortune of Manchester Red. The relegation battle has more twists and turns than a rally stage, Real Betis provide this week's wholesome football story, and is Lazio's Ciro Immobile under rated and under appreciated?

Adelaide got a massive 3 points at Hindmarsh, but we couldn't help but wonder... were we just lucky it was against Perth? Sammy took a swipe at the new state football centre in Adelaide's North, and the team discussed the circumstances around this year's seemingly smaller A-League interest.

There is so much happening across Europe right now! The FA Cup dominance of 'big' clubs continues, Madrid take a huge step towards winning La Liga, Rangers get some revenge on Ange's Celtic, Ronaldo scores a hatty, and the Champions League makes us tear shreds off of Atletico.

A big week of Champions League action came, went, and has returned again. Chelsea bounced back in emphatic style, Sammy took some shots at Arsenal's weak display against Brighton, and of course all the action of the relegation battles, including yet another good giggle at Man United's expense. A huge week of results for Adelaide United with some much needed points. We went over the solid home victory against Macarthur followed by a Goodwin inspired win away to Sydney, in which the man himself became Adelaide United's all time leading goal scorer. COYR!

The draw has been done for the World Cup - is it exciting? Who knows. Brentford dismantled Chelsea at the Bridge and Ange inches Celtic closer to the Scottish title.

Melbourne got the 3 points at Hindmarsh against Adelaide, but are they doing what the big clubs should be doing for the game in Australia? We discussed a frustrating encounter in the OG Rivalry as well as a dwindling Sydney Derby, and Melbourne's six goal mauling of Wellington.

Well, the Socceroos did as most of us expected and were sent to the playoff for World Cup Qualification, while overseas Italy were punted out all together by the might of the Macedonians! Back home, Adelaide absolutely stank, but at least we have a rivalry game to look forward to this week.
