Australia's very own Jarred Gillet became the first non British or Irish referee to take centre stage in a Premier League fixture, Penandes kicked a ball to the moon, and City turned it all the way up in another cracking weekend of football action.

Wowee. Was this week a grind or what? We struggled to find things to talk about during the dullest of dull international breaks. The new season is upon us! We took a week off then came back to record a mammoth pod with all the noteworthy transfers from across Europe, and delved into our picks for the English top flight as well as who will be battling it out at the bottom.
