Three Dudes and a Doc Podcast

This week we travel to the abandoned underground tunnels of NYC where a group of homeless people have called it their home.  An amazingly cinematic documentary from a first time filmmaker with a crew consisting of the homeless individuals the documentary was covering.  Well worth a watch...and of course a listen!

The doc thats....well really not a doc but still classified a doc? We don't even know anymore but we do know we love some Werner Herzog.  This week the dudes watched Lessons of Darkness a beautifully visual 1992 "documentary" about the Kuwaiti oil fields after the first Gulf War.  We talk about some documentary recommendations and pick a new doc for next week!

We found it! The elusive 1972 Rolling Stone documentary that was barred from being released due to some controversial material in the film.  If you're a Rolling Stone fan, music fan in general or just interested in the in between of a tour.

This week the Dudes travel to Central Africa and the country of Cameroon.  We watch and chat about the 2005 documentary Sisters In Law directed by Florence Ayisi and Kim Longinotto.  Sisters In Law documents the powerful story of women involved in the judicial system in Cameroon fighting against spousal abuse and violence against women.  A beautiful watch!
