The parables present truths God uses to challenge us and wake us up to apply His principles in our daily lives. But just as seed that is sown in a garden depends on the condition of the soil to determine whether it germinates and grows, how we respond to the truths of God depends on the condition of our hearts.

In this candid and engaging message, Dr. Young is interviewed by his son, Dr. Ben Young, about what God’s Word says about parenting today, and about what he has learned from his own life experiences as a father and grandfather. It is a Father’s Day message that is relevant any day of the year!

We have an inherent fascination with heaven and what it will be like, because we sense that there is something more and bigger than this world. Everything changes when we comprehend the basic but amazing truth that heaven is real!

In a very real sense, the whole story of life is acted out in history on Mount Calvary. It was here, on what we refer to as Good Friday, that Jesus was crucified between two thieves. We learn from them that the way in which people respond to the message of the Cross determines their eternity for all of eternity.

Do you want to experience the approval of God? When you genuinely receive Christ as your Savior and Lord, you can have confidence that you are approved by God! The smile of God will be on your life, and you will begin to see yourself the way God sees you.

We are all tempted to do things that satisfy ourselves and our desires rather than the things that point us to God. But God gives His children the ability to run from temptation. God’s Spirit within the child of God is greater than all the entanglements of the world. He will help you resist anything that might keep you from fulfilling His purpose for your life.

As this psalm suggests, the best way to start any day, even the difficult ones, is to look to God, seek Him in prayer, and ask for the guidance He freely provides for the choices and decisions you will make that day.

Just as a child who is frightened and alone wants to be comforted by his father, we seek comfort in moments of desperation by crying out for God to hear and answer our prayers. What a relief it is to know that God not only hears us but invites us to walk with Him into the light of His presence.
