Isaiah Stanback, former NFL player, Dallas Cowboy and Super Bowl Champion, and father of our amazing camper, Nadia Stanback, on why he has dedicated himself to playing a role in the Type 1 Diabetes Community, his love for Camp Sweeney and the importance of supporting Camp and all children with Type 1.

Carnival Night is a Sweeney tradition and lands in the middle of a camp session, giving kids the opportunity to spend time with their Mentor/Junior Ment while riding carnival rides, playing games, eating snow cones and just having an all-around Magnificent time!

At 3:00 p.m. every Monday through Saturday, Snack Attack time arrives, where the camp comes alive as the kids gear up for fourth and fifth periods.

Mykal Quinlan is a former Sweeney Camper and Counselor and soon-to-be Doctor specializing in Emergency Pediatric Care.  Mykal has stories and amazing memories from his Camp Sweeney experience and is our special guest for this episode of 'The Sweeney Connection'.

The Mentorship program is at the heart of what sets Camp Sweeney apart, where an older camper mentors a younger camper, spending valuable time together as they walk their diabetes journey together.  Not only during camp, but often outside the gates of Sweeney as well.

Campers are assigned to be in Big Brother/Big Sister groups in their cabins.  The friendships they form in these sibling groups can be life-changing.
