In this passage, we see the heart of God as our Father and us as His kids. Here the Spirit reminds us of how our identity and place in God’s family is truly the wellspring of all Christian living with both relational and missional implications that are far-reaching.

In this passage, Paul pushes us to the power to overcome sin — the presence of a Person. We see that the Spirit-filled life is not the deluxe edition of Christianity; it is absolutely integral to the plan of God for the people of God! (Romans 8:1-13)

This week we walk through the Law, consequences and ultimately our need to be redeemed. Romans 7:1-25

Paul is going to help us understand how being a slave to Christ actually produces the greatest freedom in this life and the life to come.

Paul is going to address our deep desire for life change and how it fundamentally begins by understanding the depth of our union with Christ. (Romans 6:1-4)

We are either “in Adam” or “in Christ”. In Adam, death reigns over us. In Christ, through grace, we are gifted the ability to reign over death in life. This grants us hope both now, and into eternity. Romans 5:12-21

Paul shows us how all that he's communicated in the first four chapters of the letter is captured by justification by grace through faith in Jesus, and how this reality intersects with our lives. (Romans 5:1-11)

As Paul delves back into the case study of Abraham, he shows us what faith is, how it practically works, and why placing our faith in Jesus is such good news for our lives. Romans 4:18-25

Paul invites us to consider the stories of Abraham and David from the Old Testament to see the simplicity of believing in the grace of Jesus and the beauty of belonging to the family of Jesus. We discover again that the story of the relationship between God and man has always been one of Grace. (Romans 4:1-17)

As we are given a clear vision for what our lives are supposed to be about, we see Jesus' startling claim that we are utterly dependent on him, acknowledge that we don't really feel that on a day by day basis, and see the good news of God pruning our hearts to functionally believe this reality.

John 10:1-18

John 14:1-6 We kick off our three week series for Easter looking at the "I am" statements of Jesus, seeing how who God is forever changes who we are.

We dive into what many have called "the most important paragraph ever written," as we get the heart of the good news of the gospel. Romans 3:21-3

Paul continues to show us the reality of our situation before God as he gives us a diagnosis of our condition. It's bad news, but he does not leave us hopeless. Romans 3: 1-20

In this passage, Paul shows that God desires authentic relationship with us rather than mere external religion from us. He exposes our propensity towards works-based religion and pushes us to our only hope in the grace-based work of the Gospel produced by the Spirit. Romans 2:17-29

Paul turns his attention to the dangers and beauties of the law, and the problems of believing that we can earn God's love through our obedience.

Paul, like a loving parent, reflects to us the reality of our broken world so that we might be prepared to engage it and overcome it.

When we know the heart of the author, we grow a greater appreciation for the work they create. As we turn to the next portion of Romans, we are given insight into Paul's heart and why he is so passionate about what he's writing on.

As we kick off our study of Romans, we introduce the book and see three truths that we are praying will become realities in our lives through our time in the world's most famous letter. Romans 1:1-7
