It's Jesus Day again, a special Jesus Day, it's Easter. So, what is Easter for the believer? Hopefully, you are not the type to desire more war and death and try to pass it off as the will of God. Blessings to you, always.

It's Good Friday in the US. I was thinking about how the Freedom of Christian teaching (subjectively understood) is similar to the freedom of anarco-capitalism. In fact, I see little conflict. But what does that mean? For what is that freedom and what is the hoped for result of a life lived Free? Some Good Friday Thoughts for you.

So, we just avoided a war... for now. I didn't know about it until I listed to the Liberty Report today. It needs to be discussed. Then, I was going to call it a "Snowflake" problem, but the privilege title won. What is wrong with so many of the people who live in this country? 

So many people casually throwing around the term "fascist" that it finally got to me, and I did the episode on "The Doctrine of Fascism" by Mussolini. It's an episode I've threatened to do for a while now. Now that I'm on Easter break, I've done it. The Fight for Freedom is the fight against Fascism. Be Free and be happy.

I heard Vince Lanci say in passing that in their premium section, they may talk about how the US went from world leader to a country ripe for looting. It reminded me of something I would often say in class which often horrified students, but I guess it is a more plausible possibility today than then. Also, it's that annual holiday, Tax Day! Sarcasm aside, do we need taxes for a civilized society?

Back in Ep 353, I discussed Triffin's Dilemma. But last Friday I listened to MisesMedia's episode with Dr Bob Murphy on the same subject, except he was more detailed and included a counter argument. I summarize it for you and share some subjective thoughts on the matter.

Sunday is Jesus Day and it's Palm Sunday to boot. Jesus is King like no other king of the world. What does this mean and what does this say about our expectations of the King and of ourselves? Peace.

The markets are in turmoil and as expected all of the government's promises of protection are turning out to be empty. What does one do, where does one go? I can only share what I have done with what little a preacher of a small church can.

Most people have heard of the "Everything Bubble," so I made up the "Easy Bubble." The bubble of easy money. Easy money made belief in pretty much anything, fairly easy to do. But just like the Everything Bubble, there are a lot of people swimming naked.

In this episode, I compare the US with a 500 pound gorilla from the joke about a 500 pound gorilla. One doesn't really trust a gorilla, one just gets out of its way. The gorilla is old now... and the landscape of global flexing is changing.

"How did I become the Hippie" was something that I sometimes said in class in the university. It was meant to be funny because I look NOTHING like the stereotypical long-haired-promiscuous-drug using-outdoor rock concert attending Hippie from the 1960's. So, what IS a Hippie??

I ranted/vented in this episode. You might be able to tell by the title. But the war drums are beating louder, and many Americans are clueless. I guess this is me trying to do my part to raise awareness about the dark road of war we are on for the sake of the country I love.

It's Sunday which makes it Jesus Day. This passage begins with "Do not Judge". Seems simple and plain enough, but is there more? Well, maybe. And if there's a little twist in the interpretation, then what does it do to our life of faith, what effect do we see? Blessings and Peace.

There seems to be no shortage of interpretations and speculations regarding the Tariff policies of Trump. Does HE even know? Is it all misdirection, part of the art of a deal? Does Trump know about Triffin's Dilemma? Well... all of us should work on our arguments favoring Freedom.

I heard someone use this expression today so I thought I would discuss it here. It was used unproblematically, but it is a Trojan Horse.

Cory Booker's 25-hour speech seems to be a lukewarm topic of the moment, I take a look at that. What was accomplished by that speech? I wonder. My 6th grade class wrapped a section on Rome. How similar it is to the US today.

No gags are in this episode. But we are going to take a more serious look at the gag filled day of April Fool's Day. Perhaps we are all April Fools now.

You may recognize the quote from Paul Valery, French poet from around WW1. All of the war-talk these days reminded me of this quote. I might have cited that quote before, but I can't find where I did. Why is there so much war mongering? Perhaps it's a lack of debate.

It's Sunday again, so, it's time for some Jesus Phreakishness. The weeks are flying by... but we should not forget to see Jesus every day of our lives. How DO we see Jesus? And when we do, what do we do? Blessings and Peace.

End of the week, this video discusses that Jon Stewart video that is floating around the internet where he discusses the allocation of 42 Billion dollars for Broadband internet service for America and after four years, no homes have been connected to the internet.  There is a theme, sort of, with recent events in Yemen and with war in general.

I saw a Selective Attention Test today at a conference. It made me think about life in the US. It is clear that there are distractions and distractions within distractions. But the question is, what are we distracted from? There are so many events in the news cycle, it's hard to figure out which is the most pressing. But one can guess.

I am gradually reverting back to my "gov't is awful" position. There's just so much bad in the news that I thought I would talk about the tension between authoritarianism and freedom and how it can be found in different cultures in different periods of time. In this case, China 2500 years ago.

The depression of 1920 is called the "forgotten" depression primarily because most history textbooks skip it which might lead people to assume that it was not such a bad depression. Textbooks rather focus on the Great Depression of 1929 and the "hero" FDR. What's an Austrian economics take on the 2 depressions?

A friend had posted an Anti-Trump meme which was ridiculously bad. Trump makes it easy sometimes for people to criticize legitimately, however, this one caught my eye. Plus, I got to work in a couple other events of the day and a favorite movie of mine, NO NOT the 2019 movie with Matthew McConaughey.
