Subjective Professor

The Subjective Professor Podcast

Pro-freedom discussion which AVOIDS and discourages Coercion and Hypocrisy. This is a more consistent application of postmodernism to reveal subjectivity/perspective. The goal is NOT to determine right or wrong rather to explore better ideas to make nearly everyone satisfied if not happier. The goal restated is de-escalation through innovation. Getting out of the Box; I'll even describe the box to you around Ep 20.Contact: subjectiveprofessor@gmail.com

Ep 242 Is Trump in Martyr Mode - Looming Debt Crisis 09.11.2024

I can't find where I said it before (was it in my head?) but I thought I said that Trump looks like he's in "martyr" mode. He's willing to suffer even die for his belief in America.  I hope I am right and that we need this to get us through the debt crisis in the most "Austrian Economics understanding" way possible. Let's Go!

Ep 241 Emotion vs Logic – Hopium vs Reason 07.11.2024

Harris supporters are largely silent while Trump supporters are filled with the euphoria of vindication. How much of that is Hopium (hope fill endorphin rush) and how much is based on a reasonable understanding of what is coming financially and economically? This episode tosses around some thoughts on Emotion and Logic; can't get more extreme than that.  As was once said in a movie, "We have work...

Ep 240 Trump Won – Dare to Hope still alive 07.11.2024

I woke up this morning and found out that Trump had won. 20 million or so Democrats who "voted" 4 years ago didn't show up, huh, how about that? I am seriously surprised. But I'm not sad. This is opportunity... and this episode discusses some of the interesting things that are already happening. Enjoy with Hope.

Ep 239 Election 2024 Freedom is on the Ballot 06.11.2024

Election night. I'm going to figure most people won't have time to listen to this episode, so I just have a few thoughts to share and explain why I think freedom is on the ballot. May we all be a bit free-er and healthier this time tomorrow.

Ep 238 Are you Ready for a R3VOLution – Ron Paul Dare to Hope 05.11.2024

Ron Paul had an exchange with Elon Musk over the weekend and it was glorious. I talk about that and a little about the election on November 5.  How it will go is anyone's guess, but will we have a storybook ending?? Exciting times.

Ep 237 Eph 1 17-22 Hope of God's Calling – Disappointment or Fulfillment 03.11.2024

Sunday, Jesus Day. Some time for some reflection and preaching. Inspired by current events... for what is it that people hope? Where does hope come from and should believers be any different? And IF we have the hope of God's calling, what do we do while we are still in the world? Hopefully, I answer these questions today, or at least give you a starting point for your own journey in Hope. Peace.

Ep 236 Elon Musk tweeting Milton Friedman – Free Market Beauty 02.11.2024

I will have to post about the Vance/Rogan episode next week, I'm just a bit beat from a long day at the school.  Instead, we talk about the beauty of the Free Market. It's kind of like the beauty in nature. We did nothing except notice and observe it. I discuss a few concepts which makes the beauty possible.

Ep 235 Vance on Rogan – Podcasts continue to Bring Change 01.11.2024

Listened the whole thing so I can summarize it for you and make some comments. I WILL use some of the topics discussed for podcast episodes to discuss them in more detail. An easy conclusion: No N@z1s detected. :)

Ep 234 Teach me Who to Hate or Learn to Resolve Problems 30.10.2024

Some candidates and supporters of those candidates are engaging in hate mongering. These people are tirelessly promoting hate and violence. It reminds me of students who would register for my Race class expecting to be taught who, how, and when to hate. I would inform them that the class is NOT going to do that but that there were plenty of other instructors who would gladly do that for them. Inst...

Ep 233 Spontaneous Market in Middle School – Fiat in a Closed System 29.10.2024

My child's science teacher rewards students with her own FIAT currency. Although the intended use of the currency was limited to her own class, a small economy run on Science Dollars developed throughout the school. I talk about that and the search for money in the real economy.

Ep 232 - Trump on Rogan – Public Persona vs Businessman 29.10.2024

Hey all. I watched the ENTIRE conversation between Trump and Rogan. I present to you my summary and some thoughts on it. The range of topics was only part of the experience, the stamina, and ability of Trump to talk for 3 hours and still attend other events that same day... gotta give him respect. Let's hope that Harris goes on and tries to do the same.

Ep 231 Mt 20 25-28 Jesus's example of Serving – Power or Servitude 27.10.2024

Sunday, Jesus Day. Authoritarians to the right and left... and sometimes within. What to do about this natural human inclination to rule and control others? What can Jesus's example of servitude teach us about how we are to serve? God Bless.

Ep 230 Government is a business – Citizens are its customers 26.10.2024

My 7th Grade History class was going over the different types of government in the various colonies of major European countries in early colonial America. Colonies tried to attract new and more colonists to ensure success of the colony. In other words, colonies had to cater to the desires of the colonists to attract them and get them to stay. It is very much like a business dynamic.

Ep 229 North Korea in Russia – Propaganda and Reality 25.10.2024

North Koreans in Russia??? Russia IS getting desperate?? What is going on? It's simple really... and NO, Russia is not getting desperate. Maybe it's just a distraction away from the BRICS summit... it's possible.

Ep 228 No Matter Who You Vote for You Get Inflation 24.10.2024

A variation on the old saying of "no matter who you vote for you get John McCain". In other words, voters wanted a peace president, but they got a war president instead. Well, the same can be said about inflation; that is, people want lower inflation, but they get higher inflation instead. I go over the platform proposals of the 2 candidates and look for spending cuts in gov't.

Ep 227 "Value-Add" in Education – Memories from my University days 22.10.2024

A trip down memory lane for me. I was reminiscing about my university teaching days, and I thought I would share as part of my "therapy". haha Because I always had to teach "required for graduation" courses, FEW people were excited to be in my class. Those who were excited, well it was because their friend told them about it. In this episode, I go over my "hook" to get students interested and trie...

Ep 226 Gaffigan - Trump McD's - Party of the Rich and of NOT Harris 21.10.2024

Hodge podge of topics today. Jim Gaffigan's comedy roast at the Al Smith memorial dinner Trump's time as a McDonald's french fry cook and the Political Party of the Rich and the Party of the Not Harris. Enjoy.

Ep 225 Jeremiah 32 1-5 – The Word of God – Politics and Truth 20.10.2024

Sunday, Jesus Day. I wonder if in Bible history there were times when the leadership of Judah and Israel were so corrupt that they tried to censor and thus prevent the hearing of the Truth? As a matter of fact, it was quite frequent. An examination of what was going on might help us to understand our own context. Blessings to you and Peace.

Ep 224 Gold Price - BRICS - Crypto - Value 19.10.2024

The gold price hit a new weekly high. What does this mean? I share some thoughts on the higher price of that commodity and draw connections to the BRICS currency, Cryptos, and the search for value.

Ep 223 Cooperation vs Socialism - Charity vs FEMA 18.10.2024

Hurricane Helene has some lessons to teach us about the difference between voluntary cooperation and socialism, that is, government-controlled assistance. Life would be much better without the interference and the incompetent assistance of the state.

Ep 222 Fake Candidates – Fake Data – Fake Money – It's All Fake 17.10.2024

I think I ranted a bit in this episode. I guess I had to let off some steam and frustration over just how much is fake these days. I share a partial list of FAKES. Of course, the Hope is good ideas always rise to the top.

Ep 221 Caitlin Clark – Bad Racialization – and a Personal Reveal 16.10.2024

Though I don't really follow professional sports, I can appreciate the athleticism of sports in general. The stories around Clark illustrate many lessons on Race dynamics and what to do when one encounters bad discrimination. That will be the focus of this episode. I also discuss an interview I did with the Wohlwend family on their podcast Real Power Family. A beautiful and successful family who d...

Ep 220 Military Draft – National Waste - Korea Anecdotes 15.10.2024

I was listening to Ron Paul and Daniel McAdams today and thought I would talk about the Draft. Coercion indeed.  Nothing good can come from this. My mind wandered to stories I heard while I was in Korea and thought I would share.

Ep 219 Mt 13 13-16 Ears that Hear – Word Salad vs Truth 13.10.2024

Sunday Son Day? How do people applaud the speeches heard today, especially those referred to as "word salads?" I have a theory. We might be in a situation where people hear but don't understand; Jesus is familiar with this situation.  What is to be done? Are we guilty of the same? Hopefully, I share something helpful to make sense of phenomena which have no sense. Blessings.

Ep 218 Lockdowns - Criminally Anti Education 11.10.2024

Every once in a while, I see something, and then I rant. I am reminded of how criminally negligent the education establishment was and is especially during the Lockdown years. We will be feeling the consequences of that accursed policy for decades.  We have work to do.
