This is a "hot takes" episode on a variety of topics and we jump off with the gov't response to Bird Flu. There's so much going on in the news, I thought I would share just for the record and in case you didn't hear about them. They are interesting bits of news.

So, I saw a meme about a housing crash around DC... is it true? What are the consequences and fallout of the activities of DOGE? Why are the neighborhoods around DC so affected? And what is the re-alignment of Trump? One thought. So many questions... a lot of "wait and see."

So, Zelenskyy is feeling the heat of peace and is getting desperate. I discuss that and the election in Romania and how we dodged that bullet as a nation with the election of Trump.

It's President's Day here in the states, hence, the episode on presidents or at least a couple of them. Theodore Roosevelt (not FDR) and the Progressive Era is an interesting time period which might relate to the US today. Part of TR's presidency involved the Panama Canal "deal" which sounds eerily familiar to recent events.

It's Sunday which makes it Subjective Preacher's Jesus Day. Today I talk about Lawlessness. I think it's easier to recognize it now that DOGE is on the job. So, what do we do now? In other words, now we know what is lawless, what are our choices? Blessings and Peace.

Some observations and bits of information I heard on the internet regarding DOGE and Trump Tariffs, I thought I would share as they answer some big questions. Today is Frederick Douglass' Birthday. So, I read an excerpt from one of his speeches and relay its significance for us today, especially since people are making a big deal of the federal government no longer marking ethnic celebrations.

DOGE if anything is exposing government activity. This is how it should always be.  Is what Trump doing even legal? After listening to Judge Napolitano, there are problems, but is there another way that would be effective? And finally, the latest news on foreign policy - Peace.

We had a snow day today... that means school was closed for me. So, I got to work at home and take a nap: translation, I have a bit more energy for the podcast. I talk about worker's rights... again, an update on Hegseth in Ukraine, and a word on race and Cooper DeJean.

A thought occurred to me this morning... Do we really want an efficient government which spies on us 24/7?? That would be the worst, no? Sure, there's not only a lot of waste, but that's where the resistance can gather steam. Imagine an effective and efficient IRS! egads.

The anarchist Michael Malice published a book, "White Pill: A tale of good and evil." He was on the Jimmy Dore podcast, and they had an interesting discussion. As always, I share a takeaway and some of the thoughts which came to me as I was listening to them. Then we go into some DOGE updates in case you haven't heard, yet... especially the rumors surrounding Ron Paul and the FED.

Sunday so... Jesus Day. Current events got me thinking about secrets and hidden things. So, let's talk about that in relation to the truth of Jesus.

The hits keep coming from the Trump Administration. After 4 years under the Sleepy Joe Regime, it is hard to know what to focus on. As I said yesterday, this must be part of the strategy. I examine what I think is another part of the strategy - Deception, and idea raised in Sun Tzu's Art of War.

Another news packed day. These days, there's a lot to make one smile. Some news makes one sad, but again, a lot to make one smile.  The whirlwind of activity in the White House makes me think of Machiavelli and this type of situation. Machiavelli wrote about maintaining power after coming to power. Also, Gabbard and RFK jr are closer to being confirmed. Take the wins when they come!

What a time to be alive! Touching on a bunch of topics today which some commentary on my part. As much as I totally agree with much of what is happening, there is a big problem looming.

Trump through DOGE and executive orders continuing to slash this corrupt government. It's actually hard to keep up with all of the news and announcements. I quite like it.  He's got 2 years and if he keeps going like this, he might make a difference. But beware the Pendulum.

Sunday is Jesus day. Looking at Psalm 37 and examining the Desires of the Believer's Heart. It should be happiness and joy... but is it really? Blessing and peace to you today and for the week!

Negative and Positive rights are often conflated these days especially by people like Bernie and AOC.   That is, the 2 different kinds of rights are not distinguished from each other and so many believe they are the same. They are not and the misunderstanding is sloppy and expensive. I also touch on how moral hazards and rent seeking come out of this bad and unfortunate conflation.

Just an episode on a variety of topics. There is just so much going on these days, I thought I would just share some perspective on the confirmation hearings, foreign AID and finally the concept of "A-Political."

I'm kind of excited since this episode is a response to a comment from an earlier episode. Makes me feel like I'm back teaching at the university! So, thanks for that. But I go over how I understand Truth and how we then can communicate with...

All of the ICE raids reminded me of a Milton Friedman quote about "voting with your feet." A short discussion on the right to move and why this is a good thing. Then a short run down on some of the things coming out of the Trump administration.

A bit rushed but I thought I would point out that the problems of government we can see today have been problems of government for quite some time. In other words, Grover Cleveland and Donald Trump are living is slightly similar times. Only Cleveland had it better.

Sunday is Jesus Day. The weeks are just flying by. To escape the bad vibes of losing, society embraced participation trophies. Everyone gets to win no matter one's performance or contribution. Thankfully, Heaven does not give out participation trophies. So, we race to win, thus, the questions we ask are how do I race and train and for what? Blessings and peace to you.

A conversation with one of my kids is the topic of tonight's episode: Kids of illegal immigrants. Free Market proponents are often accused of lacking compassion and care; but it is quite the opposite, really. I would argue that Virtue signalers and High and mighty self-righteous are the true Con Artists of our society.  Pity the kids of the world and embrace the Free market!

I wanted to do an episode that at least touched on the January 6th pardons by Trump. Then I thought why not compare a few of Biden's pardons against them. Then I wanted to touch on the declassifying of the JFK assassination file. Wow. IF the files are not all redacted (covered in black marker so you can't read anything), then a lot of conspiracy theories are going to be put to rest.

President Trump pardoned Ross Ulbricht. I give you a quick summary of the opinions of people who are celebrating and those who are hating this release. Of course, I close with a couple of comments of my own. Then we have to discuss Elon Musk's H1tler-esque hand gesture.
