They Tried to Cancel Me. Here's What I Learned - EP 250 25.12.2025

In this episode, we get into my Dartmouth cancelation story, what happened during COVID when I spoke out, why certain people lost their minds, and why most of it was just noise from people who didn't know what they were talking about. We talk about the real rule that should exist in the world, don't open your mouth until you've done the research. Facts first. Emotion last. Because the second you l...

Drive Anyway - EP 249 22.12.2025

This episode isn't about feeling ready. It's about moving when your heart is pounding and your hands are shaking. I break down why most people confuse being healthy with being alive, and why the builders who actually leave a mark never wait for perfect conditions. From Carroll Shelby gripping the wheel at Le Mans with nitroglycerin under his tongue, to Frida Kahlo painting through pain, to Stephen...

Work From Home Tips That Actually Work (And Why Most People Fail) - EP 248 17.12.2025

Everybody wants "work from home" because it sounds comfortable. Pajamas. Flexibility. No commute. Cool story. For most people, it is a productivity death sentence. In this episode, I break down why working from home should be about efficiency, not comfort . Why your "morning routine" can quietly cost you weeks of output every year . And why the truth is simple: 99.9% of people can't do it , becaus...

You Will Be Canceled If You Try to Be Great - EP 247 12.12.2025

If you want to be liked, stay quiet. If you want to build something real, speak anyway. In this episode, I talk about cancellation, conviction, and the real cost of leadership. Not for crimes. Not for corruption. But for having an opinion, telling the truth, and refusing to repeat the approved script. I share what happened when I spoke up during COVID, why mobs form, and why small-minded people al...

Five Rules My Mom Taught Me About Grace, Grit, and Growth (Part 2) - EP 246 09.12.2025

In this episode I finish walking through the five rules my mom gave me for grace, grit, and growth, and how they shaped the way I lead, build businesses, and live my life. I start with a story from my MCAT days. I decided to be smart and take Ritalin for a practice exam because everyone said it helped them focus and crush tests. I felt like a superhero, finished the test in half the time, and walk...

Burn It Down to Build It Better - EP 245 08.12.2025

In this episode, I am pulling back the curtain on something most founders never admit out loud. We scaled Genesis Lifestyle Medicine fast. Too fast. On paper it looked perfect. Revenue rising. Locations multiplying. Everyone celebrating the success. But behind the scenes, it was chaos. Systems barely holding together, culture drifting, people unclear on what excellence actually meant. And for a lo...

Five Rules My Mom Taught Me About Grace, Grit, And Growth (Part 1) - EP 244 05.12.2025

In this episode of The Spinoso Podcast, I am going to the other side of my DNA. We have talked a lot about my dad, his businesses, his intensity, and how that shaped me as an entrepreneur. Today I am breaking down what I learned from my mom. I am talking through five rules she modeled that still drive how I lead and operate today: staying calm, keeping momentum, living with structure, leading soft...

Too Wild to Lead? Good. Do It Anyway. - TSP 243 30.11.2025

If you have ever sat there wondering, "How the hell am I the one in charge?" trust me, I have felt the same way. In this episode, I talk about the part of entrepreneurship people avoid admitting. Most of us were not the straight A, perfectly behaved kids. We were the ones causing chaos long before we ever built anything meaningful. I tell the true story of how I cost my high school forty thousand...

How to Apply Elon Musk's Leadership Style to Scale Your Business - EP 242 28.11.2025

Love him or hate him, Elon Musk is rewriting entire industries – rockets, cars, tunnels, brains – and doing it on timelines that make normal people want to throw up. In this episode, I sit down with "Griselda" herself to break down the real playbook behind that kind of domination and how you can steal it for your clinic, your business, and your life. We get into why Musk never starts from "best pr...

The Thin Line Between Creepy and Committed, and Why Winners Cross It - EP 241 22.11.2025

In this episode, I tell you a story I have never fully shared. This is how I became a part-time private investigator on Instagram and how that mission led me to the woman who would later become my wife, Stephany. This is not a tutorial. It is not a lecture on what you should do. This is me telling you exactly what I did. It started on a stair mill at EOS Fitness in Palm Desert, where I saw a girl...

The KPIs Every Medical Clinic Owner Should Track - EP 240 19.11.2025

Most clinic owners swear they are "doing pretty well" until the numbers punch them in the face. In this episode, I break down why your memory, your ego, and your feelings are some of the worst decision makers in your business and why data is the only thing you can really trust. Amanda and I get into how I went from running on gut instinct to running every service, vendor, and hire through hard num...

The Ride That Changes You Forever - EP 239 14.11.2025

This episode is a trip back in time, literally. I'm taking you into one of the wildest moments of my childhood, a moment that rewired how I look at life, business, leadership, and risk. Growing up, my family didn't really do vacations. We did "events disguised as vacations," which really meant soccer tournaments. But one day, in Hawaii, my dad had the chance to choose between the smooth helicopter...

How to Buy Back Your Time and Stop Trading Hours for Dollars - EP 238 13.11.2025

Most entrepreneurs think they're "saving money." What they're really doing is burning hours they can never get back. In this episode of The Spinoso Podcast , I break down exactly how I've re-wired my brain around time, money, and freedom. We revisit the principle of buying back your time —but this time, we're going way beyond hiring a VA to answer emails. I talk with Amanda about why time is the o...

Lead With Rhythm, Not Rigidity - EP 237 07.11.2025

In this episode of The Spinoso Podcast, Dr. Alex Spinoso takes you back to his childhood kitchen, where his mother's salsa music and Sunday morning cleaning lessons became the foundation for how he leads today. Through a story of ballroom dancing, rhythm, and a wooden spoon or two, Alex reveals how the best entrepreneurs and leaders don't just count steps—they feel the music.   This isn't a motiva...

Day One Or Die Trying - EP 236 04.11.2025

Bezos didn't "get lucky." He built a trillion-dollar machine by obsessing over customers, thinking in decades, and refusing to slow down. In this episode, I sit down with Amanda May and break down the five core principles behind Amazon's rise and how we're applying them inside real medical businesses today. We talk customer-first without being customer-controlled, moving fast and correcting faster...

Pick The Crazy Ride - EP 235 24.10.2025

In this episode of The Spinoso Podcast , I tell a story from my childhood that taught me one of the biggest lessons I've ever learned about life and business. My family once took a helicopter ride in Hawaii, and when the pilot asked if we wanted the smooth ride or the crazy ride, my dad didn't hesitate—he picked crazy. What followed was chaos, terror, and one of the most breathtaking views I've ev...

More Lessons From Phil Knight and Shoe Dog for Business Owners - EP 233.2 22.10.2025

This is Part 2 of our Founders series, and we are back with Phil Knight and the real story behind Nike. We pick up from Part 1 and go deeper into how Blue Ribbon became Nike, why "start before you are ready" still beats analysis paralysis, and how Knight kept moving even with daily imposter syndrome. I tie those lessons directly to clinics today: begin with one patient, solve one problem, pour int...

Why Vulnerability in Leadership Is Actually a Competitive Advantage - EP 234 17.10.2025

In this episode, I take on the buzzword everyone loves to post about: vulnerability. I am all for being real, but somewhere along the way, we confused leadership with live-journaling our breakdowns on social media. I break down the difference between honest transparency and emotional dumping, and why context matters. The way you are vulnerable with your spouse is not how you should be vulnerable w...

Shoe Dog Lessons: What Phil Knight's Story Teaches Entrepreneurs - EP 233.1 15.10.2025

In this episode of The Spinoso Podcast, I kick off a new series inspired by the Founders podcast and dive into Phil Knight's story from Shoe Dog . We break down how Nike started as Blue Ribbon Sports with shoes sold out of a car trunk, why "start before you're ready" beats analysis paralysis, and how Knight battled daily imposter syndrome yet moved anyway. We pull out practical lessons for clinic...

Shoe Dog Book Review: The Surprising Lesson Every Entrepreneur Misses - EP 232 10.10.2025

In this episode of The Spinoso Podcast, I get real about something most entrepreneurs don't want to admit: imposter syndrome. I share how reading Shoe Dog by Phil Knight, the founder of Nike, hit me hard. Here's a man who built one of the most iconic brands in history, stared down banks, lawsuits, and failure after failure, and still felt like he didn't belong in the room. That hit home because I...

How to Grow a Medical Practice From 0 to 40 Clinics - EP 231 08.10.2025

In this episode, I sit down with my friend Clint to share the unfiltered version of my story. I went from being a prison doctor on a 2,000-inmate yard to building an eight-figure medical wellness company. The turning point was risking half my savings to join a mastermind, selling my house, and opening our first clinic out of two rented rooms in a chiropractic office. That leap became Genesis Lifes...

Keep Your Word: The Foundation of Trust & Confidence - EP 230 03.10.2025

In this episode, I unpack a simple truth my buddy Jacob posted that separates amateurs from elite operators: do what you said you would do, when you said you would do it. If you promise Friday at 1 p.m., deliver Friday at 1 p.m. Elite people run complex systems where every commitment is a gear. When your gear slips, their machine grinds. Miss enough deadlines or show up late, and you are out. It r...

My Takes & Tweaks on the 2025 Top Ten Business Books - EP 229 (PT. 2) 01.10.2025

From Cody Sanchez's Main Street Millionaire to James Clear's Atomic Habits , we look at what these authors are really saying and where the messages line up with real business ownership—and where they don't. We talk about...

Don't Be Sad You Can't Call Your Daddy - EP 228 26.09.2025

In this episode, I talk about something every entrepreneur has thought about at some point. What if I had a rich parent who handed me a check and said, "Go chase your dreams"? Wouldn't it be easier to skip the grind? The truth is, it might be easier in the short term, but in the long run it could ruin you. I share the story of Cornelius Vanderbilt, who built an empire from nothing, how he tested h...

How to Manage Gen Z Employees: Hire, Lead, or Let Go - EP 227 24.09.2025

In this episode, Amanda and I get real about leading Gen Z. We sort the myths from the truth, talk through why "lazy" is often efficiency in disguise, and show how purpose, flexibility, and tech fluency can become advantages instead of headaches. If you want a team that moves faster with better tools, this generation can help you get there once the standards are clear. We share a practical playboo...
