We celebrate big-time summer performances from local wrestling and swimming stars in national competitions, and catch up with and hear from Maggie Lyon, New Trier grad and Northwestern asst. basketball coach. Current and former New Trier basketball standouts took their talents overseas and are returning with gold medals from the Maccabiah Games. We talk about the games and recap locals' performances. They say you can throw records out the window in rivalry matches, and that held true when New Trier met Evanston in a postseason girls water polo clash. On the boys side, the Trevs continued their dominant campaign with a sectional title. We also recap big-time finishes from local track and field athletes and hear from New Trier baseball player Henry Wolfe on the lead-up to the postseason.

Loyola baseball runs into the teeth of its conference schedule and looks to regroup, while on the water New Trier dominates the bass fishing sectional. We recap the day and hear from coach Steve Gagliano. We finish by reviewing seeds in soccer and baseball in advance of postseason play.

Eleven games into the season, New Trier boys lacrosse is back at full strength following a hazing investigation in March. Coach Herrala, however, is still not with the team. We report the latest. The rest of the spring sports are headed for the postseason already and we check in across the board and welcome Trevians girls lacrosse coach Pete Collins.

New Trier Powerlifting is a school sport now and celebrated by winning a national championship — and not its first. We then hear from New Trier QB Nevan Cremascoli, the recipient of the prestigious Scholar-Athlete Award. Then, we go around the horn checking in on spring sports, focusing on New Trier and Loyola soccer in the potent Naperville Invite.

Despite the chill (and rain) in the air, we find our way to the track to catch up the Trevians and Ramblers to see what they are putting out there this season. Loyola girls coach ChrisJon Simon joins us in the second quarter. Then we hit all the spring action, with a focus on baseball and softball to wrap up the show.

In the latest update on the New Trier lacrosse hazing investigation, the team began its season without its 13-year head coach and a number of players not in uniform. In the second quarter, we hear from New Trier softball coach Rose Wysocki and then go around the horn with spring sports, spending plenty of time on interesting starts for both our local baseball teams.

Not long after we recorded our previous episode, New Trier High School responded to a hazing incident involving its lacrosse team. We review the response and provide updates on the story. After that, we serve up some volleyball talk, breaking down early action from New Trier and Loyola Academy. We also hear from Trevs coach Sue Ellen Haak.

It may not feel like it, but it's spring from where we stand. And that means we're talking baseball and what we've seen so far, as Loyola gets off to a fun start and New Trier runs into tough luck. New Rambles coach Josh Howard joins us in the second quarter, we play Way/No Way and then squeeze some football talk in because we can — and because we got a kid gong to Michigan.

New Trier girls hockey could not keep up with the Romans in the state title game. We talk about why and how before hearing from star winger Callista Chong. Then, we shift to a new sports season: spring! Baseball, softball, soccer and a bunch more get things rolling in March. We look at the top storylines and if any of our squads have a chance at state.

And just like that ... it's over. But what a year it was for New Trier boys basketball. We begin by diving deep into the sectional championship loss to GBS: where it went awry, who stood out, etc. Coach Scott Fricke lends his thoughts on the special season as well. Then, we wrap up the winter season by talking other state-title-level teams: New Trier and Loyola hockey.
