And now, just as you accepted Christ Jesus as your Lord, you must continue to follow him. Let your roots grow down into him and let your lies be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness.

We, though, are going to love—love and be loved. First, we were loved, now we love. He loved us first.

So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up

The Lord did all that for you, but now he says, ‘Forget those things that happened a long time ago. Do not think about past events. Look! Now I will do something that is new! It is already beginning to happen. Surely, you can recognize it. Yes, I will make a road through the desert. I will make streams in the wilderness

And I told them of the hand of my God which had been good upon me, and also of the king’s words that he had spoken to me. So they said, “Let us rise up and build.” Then they set their hands to this good work.

I am who I am by God’s good will and favour, and it is because of His blessings and unmerited favour I am doing good works and bearing much fruit. Yet I cannot boast about the good works or the fruits, because it is His grace that enables me.

As I tune my heart to Your promptings…, as I listen to Your voice…, I am hearing Your directions; I am responding to Your call. You are leading. You are guiding in the way that I should go.

Restore unto me the joy of Thy salvation and uphold me with Thy free Spirit

During the sermon on the mount, Jesus reminds us His followers that we are the salt of the earth and the light of the world. Just as light can do nothing other than shine, so must we. His love envelopes us.

Before the request is formed He sees my needs. Before the words cross my lips, He hears my plea. He anticipates my call, and He is ready to assist.
