The Hoppy Boys

The Hoppy Boys couldn't find anyone else to cover this bracket so they resorted to Richie. He reluctantly came on the show and didn't seem to enjoy a minute of it. Hopefully there is at least one salvageable minute of content in this 2 hour extravaganza. Brian accidentally gets wasted which is always good for the pod. 

Wow. The inaugural episode of the second annual Malt Madness. The epic tournament starts with an absolute BANG as father, husband and school teacher, Chris, joins the boys for an in person tasting and record. They meticulously decide who will represent Seltzers in the final four of this tournament. Later, Clyde joins the crew for a LIVE interview. 

The Big-Han-Bopper himself, Mike Hanford, (The Sloppy Boys, Comedy Bang Bang) joins the Hoppy Boys to settle legal disputes over stealing his band's namesake. After he finishes tearing them apart, the three chat over beers for an hour, and share drinking stories like old pals.

The Hoppy Boys do another sober episode with one of their LEAST sober friends, Corrine! She returns to the show to talk all about her drunken weekend, and how she likes to kiss strangers in grocery stores. Later, Brian makes an uncomfortable joke about bowling balls.

We know what you're gonna say. "Its not dry January since you're last episode was about beer!" Well guess what loser, we recorded that last year. So here we are talking about Coffee. Might want to slow this one down a bit because us boys get a little WIRED if ya know what I mean ;) Also spoilers we drank before recording this episode.

Lifelong friend John Kellermann stops by to chat about Long Island's own Blue Point brewery's Blueberry Ale, as well as important topics such as cookies, clams and classroom masturbation. 

It's a Festivus miracle! Friends of the podcast, there are some, send in their grievances for the first full year of The Hoppy Boys, where the criticisms are quickly dismissed by the hosts. The Hoppy Boys are taken by surprise when stranger Mike Ockisitchy crashes their Friday night drinks sesh. After kicking him off the pod, the scheduled guest, Matt Ganesh joins them to chat pumpkin beers. This episode is objectively funny, but not because of anything the hosts say. 

Former college roomate and hard cider connoisseur, TJ joins the show to talk Redd’s Wicked Apple. They touch on the subject of hard cider but mostly talk about cats and poop.  

The boys recap their weekend of brews together and Brian fails a beer quiz. 

Fellow Long Islander, Christine Schultheis, give us the run-down on why she has claim to be Queen of the Claws.

Top-notch tea touter Kyle Chandler (SubtleTea) gives us the rundown on what it is like to be a real life brewing professional, all while scrutinizing whiteclaw's version of the very beverage he aims to perfect.

Ricky and Kayla of The Sick Invite Podcast join The Hoppy Boys to discuss the second White Claw variety pack. Ricky talks about all of the beer he “confiscated” as an RA at U Albany. Kayla then brags that she was awarded a day dedicated to her name in 2012 for most beers drank that year. Brian proceeds to get very drunk before the boys get yet another unsolicited call from Clyde. 

White Claw aficionado Travis  Hart hops on the pod to kick off Clawgust!! Travis explains the origins of his fandom for White Claw and why they continue to be his favorite alcoholic beverage. The three debate their favorite flavors and talk about how claws stack up against the rest of the hard seltzers in the game. Spoiler, there is actually quite a bit of boos talk in this episode.
