Another Mike Millard master was released by JEMS and it's Black Sabbath, Long Beach CA, September 7, 1975. This show was in support of their Sabotage album and I play Snowblind, Symptom of the Universe, Supernaut, and Iron Man. Excellent recording of the daddies of heavy metal.

We listen to tracks from Led Zeppelin Rarities' excellent new matrix, Dancing in the Doldrums. Songs taken from early dates in Led Zeppelin's brief 1980 European tour. Excellent sound and excellent performances make for a fun experience of Zeppelin's final tour.

Another brilliant Mike Millard master was released by JEMS, Robert Plant San Diego, August 9, 1990. He's touring to promote his Manic Nirvana album, and this show is great. I play Nirvana, Wearing and Tearing, Little by Little, and Hurtin' Kind. Robert is in great voice and it's nice to hear him playing Led Zeppelin songs again.

We are blessed with another Mike Millard recording, courtesy of JEMS. David Bowie August 14, 1983, at the LA Forum. The Let's Dance tour. Bowie's first in 5 years. Wonderful sound as we listen to songs from Scary Monsters and Let's Dance.

This is a nice warm up to the 1972 US tour. May 28, 1972 Brussels, Belgium. A rowdy audience welcomes Led Zeppelin as we listen to a rousing Dazed and Confused, and a Whole Lotta Love with a quite a few unique songs in the medley. You won't be disappointed.

Another pristine Mike Millard master from JEMS. Aug 14, 1975 Eric Clapton with Carlos Santana, Keith Moon, and Joe Cocker. The sound on this recording is outstanding. The performances are a bit restrained but tremendously good. Hearing Santana accompany Eric on Badge, Why Does Love Got To Be So Sad, and Eyesight To The Blind is just sublime.

The second part of my Oct. 29 1988 Worcester, MA Outrider show retrospective. We have more of top shelf Jimmy Page playing like a man with something to prove. This is an incredible performance which you will not regret hearing.

This is a show for which I had front row seats. Jimmy Page Worcester MA 10/29/88. What a show! Robert Plant was in attendance as he was playing the next night, and Jimmy definitely delivered. He brought the magic of Led Zeppelin, and played like it was 1973 again. Great experience. Great music. Great performance.

I had a request to do an episode with a show from Rush, Signals Tour. After some research I decided on May 21, 1983 which I've read is one of the best shows of that tour. It sounds very good for an audience recording. The band is playing insanely well, and the crowd is enthusiastic. If you love Rush you will love this.

This is one of the best live recordings out there. Mike Millard's Led Zeppelin 3/11/75 is just superb. The performances are great and the audience recording sounds professional. Here the boys at their indulgent best. Dazed and Confused is played as well as the funky Whole Lotta Love/Crunge, a primal Kashmir, and a sublime Over The Hills And Far Away. Great stuff.

This is a short set opening for Jackson Browne at an antinuke benefit, in Seattle 2/5/77. Jackson Browne's band as well as David Lindley accompany Warren during this nice early era set. I play Carmelita, Mohammed's Radio, Excitable Boy, and I'll Sleep When I'm Dead.

Led Zeppelin's evening show at Madison Square Garden on Sept 19, 1970 contains one of the hottest hours of live music ever played. Recorded the day after Jimi Hendrix died, this show is one of the (many) must haves for any Led Zeppelin fan. We listen to Whole Lotta Love, Bron-Yr-Aur, a roaring rock medley on its own, and How Many More Times. One of Led Zeppelin's best shows. Amazing.

We listen to a soundboard recording of the late show of the Rolling Stones, 7/21/72 in Philadelphia. This is the legendary STP tour supporting Exile on Main Street, and it's the Stones at their peak. Absolutely brilliant performances of Love in Vain, All Down The Line, Midnight Rambler, and Uptight/Satisfaction. Beautiful. Enjoy.

We revisit Led Zeppelin's July 24, 1979 show in Copenhagen, DK, which we discussed in my very first episode. I play Celebration Day, Over The Hills, Since I've Been Loving You, and the retooled version of Whole Lotta Love. This is an intimate warm up gig for the Knebworth shows, and it's an incredible performance.

I go off the rails with this one. We listen to an excellent recording of Neil Young with Booker T and the MGs, from Belgium 1993, and what starts as a joke becomes a frightening conspiracy theory. Good stuff. Silly. Great music. Mr. Soul, Helpless, Powderfinger, Down By The River are heard.

We listen to another incredible Mike Millard master recording. Stevie Nicks in Los Angeles on Dec 12, 1981, on her Bella Donna tour. She has a great band including Waddy Wachtel, and Roy Bittan. We hear Sara, Edge of Seventeen, and more. Good stuff.

We listen to one of the must have Led Zeppelin shows, Montreux Switzerland, March 7, 1970. We hear Since I've Been Loving You as a work in progress, Led Zeppelin 3 being 7 months away, nods to Jeff Beck and Creedence Clearwater Revival, and one of the best concerts you'll hear. Enjoy.

We listen to tracks from Joe Maloney's excellent recording of Bad Company live at the Boston Music Hall, on May 31, 1975. This is their first headlining tour and they are on fire. It's a great setlist with a great recording. I hope you enjoy it.

This is a fun one. Elton John in 1975 was incredible. He played 32 songs at this Sept 29, 1975 show in San Deigo. Mike Millard captured it with his amazing equipment, and we now hear his master recording. We listen to Rocket Man, Funeral for a Friend/Loves Lies Bleeding, Goodbye Yellow Brick Road, and Someone Saved My Life Tonight. Amazing.

We listen to Jimmy Page's set from the Sept 21, 1983 Prince's Trust Rock Gala, held at the Royal Albert Hall. This is the night after the fabled ARMS Concert and features the same people. Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, Jimmy Page, Steve Winwood, et al came out to support Ronnie Lane. This is Jimmy's return to public performing after the loss of Zeppelin.

This show is amazing. August 16, 1978 at the LA Forum, opening for Kansas, we have Thin Lizzy. They're promoting Live and Dangerous and already playing songs from their next album Black Rose... this is great stuff. Top shelf underrated rock and roll.

I revisit the March 16, 1973 Led Zeppelin show in Vienna, because Nite Owl Productions created a 4 source stereo matrix of this show, and IT'S INCREDIBLE. This is the definitive source for this show, and I had to come back and do another episode about it. This is Zeppelin at their absolute peak.

We listen to a newly released Mike Millard Master recording of Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers in Cosa Mesa, CA March 3, 1990. Great show supporting Full Moon Fever and has a lovely three song guest set with Roger McGuinn from the Byrds. Great sounding show at peak Tom Petty. Enjoy.
