Something to help pass the time during the pandemic. I talk about and listen to Pink Floyd in LA April 26, 1975. The recording is from Mike Millard's original master tape, and it's insanely good. I play a track that would end up on Animals, Have a Cigar, Time, and a beautiful 22 minute Echoes. An interesting show for interesting times.

This is Part Two of our focus on April 28, 1977 in Cleveland, where Led Zeppelin played a hell of a show. We listen to a beautiful performance of Ten Years Gone, as well as a glowing Since I've Been Loving You. Jimmy Page is playing wonderfully. We also hear a snippet of an early 1975 hoarded soundboard tape. One of the only live performances of the Wanton Song in soundboard quality. Good stuff!

This episode I discuss a mini reunion of Jimmy Page onstage with Robert Plant and his band, at the Hammersmith Odeon, London, on April 17, 1988. Jimmy jams on several tunes, and I play you Trampled Underfoot, and Gamblers Blues. The blues has call backs to I Can't Quit You and Since I've Been Loving You, and it's awesome. Enjoy.

We go back to 1977 for this one. April 28 in Cleveland. This is a great show. Really powerful and dirty. We listen to Nobody's Fault But Mine, and an epic No Quarter, in which Jonesy shines. Latter day Led Zeppelin at their finest.

We talk about the end of Led Zeppelin's 1971 US tour, and their shows Sept 13 & 14 in Berkeley California. I play Heartbreaker & SIBLY from the 14th, and a rousing Communication Breakdown from the 13th (with a bit of Gallows Pole). A great tour and a great set.

We wrap up our look at Led Zeppelin's second (and last) tour of Japan, in 1972. We talk about how this tour is underappreciated, and we listen to Stairway from Oct 2, 1972 (Tokyo), as well as a rousing Whole Lotta Love with a rare Lemon Song/Killing Floor in the medley, as well as I Can't Quit You, and lots more. Understated tour but still very good.

We explore Led Zeppelin's 1972 Japanese tour, on which The Song Remains The Same (called Zep and The Campaign) & The Rain Song were first played. We're blessed with great recordings of the very first performances of TSRTS & Rain Song, as well as an amazing cover of Stand By Me, with Bonzo on backing vocals. Part 2 next week.

In this episode I talk about the Aug 31, 1971 Led Zeppelin show in Orlando, Florida. There's a great soundboard/audience matrix recording from which I play two songs. Thank You is one of the best ever, and Since I've Been Loving You just sings. Zep in 1971. It doesn't get better.

The subject of this episode is Led Zeppelin's May 3, 1971 performance in Copenhagen, Denmark. At this show they played what may be the only live performances of Four Sticks and Gallows Pole. We listen to the only extant recording of that show (a 1st gen audience), which shows Robert Plant's in his best voice. I talk about seeing Page/Plant in Portland, on 5/23/95, and we listen to three tracks from this show. I play a nice clear live recording of this concert, playing Shake My Tree (Coverdale Page song), Lullaby (Cure song), and In The Evening (Led Zeppelin), and reminisce about the last time I saw Jimmy Page.

I talk about the November 20, 1993 concert after which the Page/Plant reunion was born. This show at the Orpheum in Boston (which I attended) is amazing. We listen to 29 Palms and an insane and soulful 17 minute In The Mood, with Season of the Witch, For What's It's Worth, and more included. This is a good one.

This is a Thanksgiving gift to you all. I play Led Zeppelin's entire set at the Texas Pop Festival (Aug 31, 1969) in glorious matrix stereo.
