The word “Church” may not seem to fit with other words we’ve examined in this series, like justification, sanctification, conversion, regeneration and adoption. Listen to the message and find out why “Church” is the best place to end the series!

Adoption is about relationship. About family and connections. It’s personal, intimate, and wonderfully warm. We may define adoption is the gracious act of God whereby he makes us members of his family, and in today's message Pastor Garth describes the privileges of adoption by God.

Although the term "conversion" is common in theological and religious discussion today, it was a relatively rare term in the Bible. The biblical roots of the concept involve the use of two terms that mean "to turn.” So, conversion is a turning to God from evil and sin.

God could have used countless other pictures to describe what happens when we undergo spiritual regeneration, but he chose a baby: “Unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.” Regeneration is the secret act of God in which he imparts new spiritual life to us. Through the gospel, we've been set free from sin and have received the Holy Spirit. Every believer must now learn to live by the Spirit as we seek to grow in godliness.
