Many of the men and women you meet in the pages of Holy Scripture are beggars. Not necessarily poor and homeless or displaced, but beggars nonetheless. They are spiritually bankrupt – spiritually impoverished – spiritually destitute. But when God shows up, when he breaks into their lives, they become rich beyond compare.
