The Frankencast

Every now and then we like to showcase the work of independent creators over on Patreon, but we like to share those bonus episodes here on the main feed, to share these works with more people who might not be familiar with them. We recently discussed Betsy Phillips' short story "Frank" and this week we're taking a look at a short film adaptation. Join us as we compare and contras...

We're ready to give you The Creeps with this surprisingly tame, but still quite entertaining film from Full Moon Pictures! Join us as we have inappropriate relations with a book, try to explain what a video store is, and inexplicably turn into a viking for some reason. Please rate, review, and tell your fiends. And be sure to subscribe so you don't miss future installments. Join us on Patr...

We made it to 100 episodes, fiends! Thanks so much for your support, we couldn't have gotten here without you all. And to celebrate, we had to go back to the source: Mary Shelley. Join us for this beautifully cinematic look at the life of the woman behind the monster. We'll also meet Mary's evil stepmother, discover that Lord Byron is just an early F-Boy, and suffer through my entire n...

Every now and then we like to showcase the work of independent creators over on Patreon, but we like to share those bonus episodes here on the main feed, to share these works with more people who might not be familiar with them. And once again we're going back to our old friend Apex Magazine to discuss another short work. This week it's Betsy Phillips' zombie-farmhand mystery/romance w...

We're continuing our Patrick Casey/Josh Miller double feature with this significantly more uneven film, part of National Lampoon's Dorm Daze series. Join us for a study abroad trip to Romania where we can definitely not take a vampire hunting class for credit, use vampire powers to resurrect the "What happens in Vegas" joke, and get booked for a reality show after displaying ques...

A few weeks ago, we met a teenage Frankenstein, and now, we meet his roommate! I think we should all just do what Matthew would have wanted, which in this case means: giving The Monster a bath, getting jumped into the Mormon gang, and arguing about Ramadan (you know, from the Godzilla movies). Please rate, review, and tell your fiends. And be sure to subscribe so you don't miss future installm...

Join us as we deal with our creepy science teacher's taxidermy hobby, try to understand the Mystery of the Second Story Window Cat, and make public use of Chekhov's Watermelon Guillotine. Pl...

This week your Horror Hosts are joined by Very Special Guest Sophia Lee to discuss this brand new interpretation of the Frankenstein story. Join us as we go deep on race relations in America, the cycle of poverty, and gang activity as a symptom of system injustice. We also talk about Contractually Obligated Creepy Kids, Racket Busters, and the best Frankenstein Easter Egg ever. You can find Sophia...

And be sure to subscribe so you don't miss future installments. Join us on P...

This one is the main Frankenstein film to come out between the Universal and Hammer cycles, and it's also right in the midst of the teenager cultural explosion. Join us as we benefit from Car Crash Ex Machina, learn about responsible alligator care, and fade to black at Makeout Point. Please rate, rev...
