The Frankencast

We thought we'd start sharing the first few minutes of our Patreon episodes here on the main feed to give everyone a taste of what you can expect if you join us at  patreon.com/thefrankencast . This week over on Patreon, we're back with a free-flowing chat about the State of the Horror Union! We're discussing all the big releases from the first half of 2023 along with some upcoming stu...

CW: Like, basically everything. We're back with more Human Centipede, like it or not. This one ratchets up the unpleasantness of the first film exponentially. But for real, we tried to discuss this film a little more delicately than we do with most films we discuss just because the content is so rough, even hearing about it is likely going to overwhelming for some folks. But it's still A L...

This week over on Patreon, we've reached the final section of Kiersten White's brilliant retelling of Mary Shelley's Frankenstein. Turns out that the previous sections set a lot of things in...

California! *Terrified scream* We'll be meeting secret star of the film Blobby, Johnny's well-meaning but misguided parents, and Dracula's not-so-wel...

And now, for the THRILLING conclusion of League of Frankenstein! Yes, we have more literary characters mixed together haphazardly in an erotic mashup for the ages. Join us for a bloodless surgery, an un...

Welp, here we are, folks. In the surgically scrubbed basement of a weirdly modern home deep in the woods of Germany, presumably somewhere near a dance club called Bunker. Join us as we watch the world's most upsetting PowerPoint presentation (and that's saying a lot), learn the perils of indoor swimming pools, and try to figure out the proper etiquette for when you enter a room and find a...

It's Frankenstein, but for ladies! This week your Horror Hosts have brought in Special Guest Ryan Nanni to discuss this surprisingly smart and decidedly feminist take on Frankenstein. Join us as we make a big batch of Blood Gin, redefine the term "well hung", and realize that we've been fighting a Voltron of our neighbors all along. You can listen to more from Ryan at the Shutdow...

This week over on Patreon, we're back with the second part of our discussion on Kiersten White's fantastic novel that retells Frankenstein from Elizabeth's perspective. This episode finishes...

This is ostensibly a sequel to last week's film. It has easily twice as much nudity and violence, and yet still has a more coherent plot. It also has a blind, cannibalistic bird person with echolocation and psychic powers. Join us as we give Dr. Frankenstein a taste of his own medicine like 5 times, try the world's worst Trojan horse plan, and discuss the pros and cons of poisonous spikes....

This week over on Patreon, we're discussing two songs by shock rocker Alice Cooper. One is a pretty straightforward rocker using Frankenstein's monster as a metaphor for adolescence, and the oth...

What can you say about this movie? It has so little to say, that you could write out all of the dialogue on a post-it note. But it does have so many flappy bats, some really intense zooms, a secret vampire girl, and a werewolf ex machina. Take your brain out, put it in a specimen jar beside the couch, and enjoy! Please rate, review, and tell your fiends. And be sure to subscribe so you don't m...

With a title like this, you know there's gonna be a MONSTER FIGHT! It's gonna take a while to get there, though. But first, we're gonna get the gang (of past-their-prime genre actors) together and we're gonna put on a show to save the rec. center. And if the waiter at the rec. center occasionally slips acid in someone's coffee, well, that's just the price of doing business...

This week at patreon.com/thefrankencast we're discussing this beautiful and visceral short from Jennifer Donohue . She recently shared the story with us and we were eager to talk about this painfully honest meditation on grief in the modern world. It's a story about the physical objects that carry on after we're gone that continue to tell our histories. And it's a story of the tumu...

We're really excited about Jennifer Donohue's "A Country of Eternal Light" so we may have gone a little overboard. One ongoing segment we have over at  patreon.com/thefrankencast  is Frankencast After Dark, where Anthony is joined by The Bride to dig deeper into topics discussed briefly in main feed episodes. The Bride read  Jennifer's story and had some feelings that she wan...

This week we're talking about the sequel to Frankenstein's Bloody Terror, and even though this movie sounds like a James Bond knock-off, it actually does have a Frankenstein in it this time. No more tricks! Join us as we have a rare run-in with aliens (the psychedelic swirl flavor), meet a practical joker skeleton, and have the Mummy do a quick PSA on why you should always clean out your l...

This week, we're discussing an incredibly inaccurately titled film (aka La Marca Del Hombre Lobo) that features way more Mysterious Puddles than Frankensteins. And we're super excited to welcome Very Special Guests Alyssa and Courtney from the fantastic Silver Scream Podcast !
