The Diary Of A Wannabe Writer

An emergency podcast purely because I’ve been exceptionally busy today doing a task I’ve been putting off for ages and as a result not had time for any writing.

I unexpectedly managed to finish the first version of chapter 34 during a writing session in a coffee shop today (with a fellow writer). I talk about my plans to edit the chapter over the next couple of days and I also talk about some other things I have done today.

I continue to write chapter 34, and explain that whilst it’s deviating from my plan, it will end up in the right place at the end.

I talk about the chapter I started writing today, and about how I probably won’t get it finished before I go back back to work on Friday!

I talk about why I haven’t done very much today, what I am doing for work in the next month (or rather where I am going) and then talk about the fact I’m excited that we may have a British artist at the top of the UK Top 40 later today…

Whilst my car was being serviced, I insured that my scene breakdown for chapter 34 of “Empress Of The Trees” incorporated everything that had changed when I wrote the previous chapter, I have also started preparing another batch of submissions of “The English Hikikomori” to an agency…

I tell you about my trip to the American Embassy as well as finally signing off chapter 33. What a productive day!

A little review of what I’ve achieved in the last nine days, and what I planned to do in the next eleven.

I’m due to fly home from Singapore later today, but in the show I talk about the latest music chart and how we need to start a new Britpop Revolution!

Today has been an extremely productive day, yesterday I said that I might do one of two things and it turns out I did them both! 

I have done some more writing! I update you on where I am in chapter 33 and on my 60/40 project entry for August (having failed to do one in July)

I talk briefly about my plans for writing over the next couple of days as well as making this podcast a little more regular than it has been this month.

As I walk to breakfast I update you on how close I am to completing the writing phase of Chapter 33, and my plans for the next 24 hours.

I finally managed to get some work done on “Empress of the Trees”: no actual writing but my story lining needed some work and I have finally done it, I’m now ready to actually write the final chapters…

I’m absolutely exhausted with almost no sleep last night, so no writing today, or submitting anything to anyone, but at least my loft is done.
