I’m working today, so here are some silly emergency questions in lieu of me doing some actual writing! (Thank you Richard Herring again!)

I talk about my day and the writing I have done this evening.

I describe my day, and how I managed to resolve my issues with my scene breakdown for chapter 36 (which was basically to ignore it and wing it).

A little chat about today and tomorrow.

I originally planned to do some writing today but I’m very tired, but did figure out a couple of issues that were bugging me about what I need to write next in chapter 36…

I am working today so unable to do any writing, instead I answer some questions from Richard Herring’s “Emergency Questions” app (based on a series of books he wrote). Some of them are seriously silly. I might do this again.

I have completed chapter 35 and run it through Grammarly, so soon onto Chapter 36!

I talk about my screen edit of chapter 35, I’m still on target to sign off the first draft tomorrow with any luck!

I managed to keep my commitment of doing a podcast every day this month, but can I now do one every day until I complete the first draft of “Empress Of The Trees” by podcast 200?

A brief update on the progress of chapter 35 and when I hope to finish it.

I haven’t done any writing since yesterday as I’m working today - flying to Philadelphia - so here is a general update on all of my projects.

Welcome to show 111, the same age Bilbo Baggins was when he left the Shire and handed over the ring to Frodo! Today I finished the first version of chapter 35 and hope to get it edited in the next few days…

I detail the work I’ve done today on chapter 35 of “Empress Of The Trees” and explain what I will do tomorrow to complete the first version of this chapter.

How I plan to complete Chapter 35 in the next week.

I look at the chart I chose at random yesterday using an AI, and compare how much British music is in that Top 40 from 1981 compared to how much British music is in this week’s Top 40 in 2024. I was staggered by the results.

I talk about how I compile my British artists singles top 40, and about what a tiny percentage of the chart is made up of British artists. I also promise to do a comparison of a week from the 1980s (in a future podcast) to see if there genuinely are less British songs in the charts or if it just feels like it…

Literally all I’ve done is worked today and I need to go to sleep because I have to get up at 2 am for a flight tomorrow! So here’s me chatting about some TV for a bit!

I tell you about how my last couple of days have gone and why I have not done any writing today.

As I announced in yesterday’s show, the show today is an emergency podcast because I’m exceedingly busy! In this pre-recorded show I talk about more comedy shows I liked when I was younger.

I briefly update you on today’s writing and what I plan to do for the next two days

I am back home in the UK, and I’m very tired after long day at work. Too tired to do this really! However, I tell you what my plans are in terms of writing for the next three days.

I explain where in the world I am today, apologise for the mammoth that was yesterday’s show, and tell you about what I have written today (the start of Chapter 35) and what I will be writing next (when I get home tomorrow).

I allow myself a little bit longer for this particular show, and in it I talk about how this podcast has massively increased my productivity in writing.
