I’m back, and I talk briefly about my plans for the next couple of days, both writing and not writing…

A spoiler-free discussion about today’s Doctor Who. Going to take a couple of days off now I’ll be back on Tuesday.

I talk about a change of heart about a scene in my book that I’ve mentioned for the last couple of days, and also about the fact that if the FA Cup Final goes into extra time tomorrow, the Eurovision episode of Doctor Who will not be broadcast ahead of Eurovision…

I celebrate signing off five chapters today, meaning I should easily hit my target of completing the remaining four by the end of Sunday the 18th! Go me!

I’ve done screen sign off of nine chapters during my time away, can I get those signed off fully on paper before I go back to work on the 19th? It’s a challenge. Plus I get all shy when attempting to describe a newly added vaguely sexual moment in one of those chapters, I can’t even say it here without getting embarrassed!

It’s the final day of my short holiday to Phoenix today, I reflect on my time here, the writing I got done, and what writing I need to do when I get home tomorrow…

I’ll tell you about the graduation ceremony that I was expecting to attend today, as well as the one I wasn’t expecting to attend. I also tell you about something rather lovely that happened at the first one.

I spent today editing what I thought would be a mildly challenging chapter and it turned out to be exceedingly challenging. After several drafts, I think I’m there, I’m having the day off from podcasting tomorrow and I will be back on Saturday…

Today I make up for my lack of enthusiasm yesterday and get a further three chapters signed off…

I don’t get any writing done today because I’m feeling stressy for some reason, but I do get some minor feedback about Still Life which I enjoyed…

After what probably feels like a lot of procrastinating, I have started on the second draft of “Empress Of The Trees.”
