I managed to get chapter 29 signed off today, meaning that I only have to sign off chapter 30 to hit my writing deadline for the month, so I have given that chapter a first read through as well! I talk about how I surprise myself by getting two further chapters of Empress Of The Trees signed off today despite being very tired - I’ve now done 29 (the prologue and the first 28 chapters) and have 15 to go…

No writing today, but I do a little chat about some lovely recreations a British satellite channel did in 2019 of some missing episodes of Dad’s Army and how the BBC should’ve done something similar with Doctor Who in 2013…

Having done no writing today I talk about some albums I have ordered…

I report in from New York City where I’ve done some exercise and some writing! Can’t be bad…

I talk about the fact I’m not working in July and mull over some ideas for what I might do during that time…

In a podcast you may not have been expecting (because in yesterday’s show I said there would not be one!) I talk about the “Empress” chapters I’m currently editing plus the fact that Doctor Who is currently in a kind if limbo for the first time since 1990…

As well as updating you on my writing progress, I read a short story that I wrote in 20 minutes at a new writing workshop that I have joined in my hometown… Also, despite what I said in the podcast, there will be an episode tomorrow… When I recorded it I forgot that I had promised to do an episode every day in June. Oops.

I talk about how tired I am due to jetlag but also the fact I managed to get some work done…
