The present-day call of modern psychology is to discover who YOU are, to be true to YOURSELF, but the call of the Christian Life is quite opposite of that.  The call is that we become like Christ.  There is a definite tension between these positions, but the Scriptures are clear. 

As Christians, we are called to love others, both Christians and non-Christians.  Just how do we do that?  What does it look like to love a non-Christian?  Today, we consider those questions and more.

We are unpacking a description of a discipled person.  Today, we are considering the 4Hs (Head, Heart, Hands, House) of a person who is learning to love other believers. 

The 4 Hs - Head, Heart, Hands, and House of a disciple is what we are aiming to develop.  Today's episode developing the 4 Hs in the area of Love for and Trust in God.

We are told to make disciples.  "To make" something is a productive term, resulting in an outcome.  What is the "product" of disciples that we are told to make?  Let's consider 6 categories for development.

We are called to produce something as followers of Jesus -- other followers.  When a follower is fully developed, they will be like their Teacher (Jesus) - Luke 6:40.  In this episode, we begin unpacking a handful of the most pressing qualities we need to help followers of Jesus develop.

If our mandate is to make disciples, we must begin with the question - just what is a disciple, what does one look like when fully developed?  In this episode, we begin a foray into that question.

We have spent months learning about Key Things a New Disciple Needs to Learn.  In this one broadcast, I will summarize some of these foundational truths.

Today, we wrap up Ephesians and our study of the dozens of great "in Christ" statements found in the Epistles.  This is part 8 from Ephesians.

Ephesians is absolutely loaded with incredible truths about our identity in Christ.  In part 5, we concluded just chapter 2. Did I say, "LOADED?"

We are in our final book for this study of our Identity in Christ - Ephesians.  We have spent 3 days and have only made it through verse 14 of chapter 1.  This letter is LOADED with great truths about who we are meant to be in Christ.  Let's live to the praise of His glory!

Today we delve into Ephesians to understand God's truths for us that He desires to become our identity.  We cover just 4 verses, Ephesians 1:1-4.  Willed, Blessed, and Chosen.

While I had intended to launch into Ephesians, my preview of Carl Trueman's book, "The Rise and Triumph of the Modern Self" took the bulk of the broadcast, but it provided an insightful background on why building our God-given identity is so critical. 

All throughout the Epistles we find great truths about our identity in Christ. In this episode we will work our way through Philippians to discover some further great truths about our identity in Christ.

Today we consider identity in Christ statements from the book of Galatians.  Gal 2:20  I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

Today, we return to considering some of God's great truths about who we are in Christ from Romans 8. 

God is able to do so much more than we can ask or imagine.  The width, depth, length, and height of the fullness of His great love for us is beyond our comprehension. 

God is near us, and He has invited us to draw to near to Him with confidence. 

God is WITH His people, in fact, He lives IN His people.  Contemplating and living in these truths can radically change your outlook on life.  The Lord is Near!
