God calls us to listen and follow individually, but also collectively as the body of Christ. There is nothing ordinary about the church… it is a supernatural community that is holy, universal, and on a mission. Because of this, we should take our church gatherings seriously and use them to “wrestle” both with God and fellow believers.

As the Good Shepherd, Jesus faithfully leads us as we learn to listen and follow His voice above all others throughout life’s circumstances. This week, Andres encourages us on the journey of hearing God speak in our lives and shares two foundational rhythms that will help us recognize His voice.

This week, we kick off “Listen and Follow” by discussing two of the primary ways we see God speak—through His Word and through His Spirit. Pastor Joel also shares some guiding principles for us to consider as we learn how to discern how God speaks to us through His Spirit in alignment with His Word.

As we approach our Summer Apologetics Seminars, we welcome author, biblical apologist and Biola professor, Dr. Craig Hazen. Through his teaching this week, we discover that we can be confident in sharing our reasons for faith because of the ways God demonstrates the truth of His identity and His Word seen throughout history and in our personal experiences with Him.

This week, Michael shares three principles to help us discover and discern God’s will in our lives, and we learn that God’s focus is not on our short-term success but on our long-term transformation.

This week, Michael unpacks the historical context and significance of the Greek word for ‘gospel’ and addresses three key questions regarding the gospel we see answered in Paul’s letter to the Romans. The gospel is more than forgiveness, it’s more than justification, it is complete life transformation and a calling to be part of a new community learning to love, serve, and be a light to the world.

In Paul’s introduction to the Romans, we see a phrase that is repeated throughout his writings, “…Grace and peace to you from God our Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ” (Romans 1:7, NIV). This week, Joel shows us how this catchphrase communicates a greater idea of the gospel—of what God has done for us and what He wants to do in us through these gifts of grace and peace.

What does it mean when we refer to the 'Lord Jesus' or say 'Jesus is Lord'? In today's culture, it can be challenging to grasp the full significance of Paul's favorite title for Jesus. This week, Michael walks us through the rich history of the word 'Lord' (or 'kurios' in Greek) and how it communicates Jesus’ divine authority over all creation and in our lives today.

As an apostle, Paul has unique authority and perspective to see and share the truth about who God is, who we are, and how to follow the path of life. In this week’s message, we learn that Paul’s first word of introduction to the Romans is as a doulos, or slave, of Christ Jesus. Paradoxically, It is only when we are fully surrendered to Christ that we can experience true freedom and transformation.

Paul introduces key words and phrases in the introduction of his letter to the Romans, one of which is “Apostle.” Paul identifies himself as an Apostle of Christ Jesus. This apostleship gave him the authority to speak for Jesus and proclaim his Gospel. He viewed Jesus as his ultimate authority of his life, which we are also called to do as Christians living today.

When studying the Bible, it is important to understand the context and the original author’s meaning before we can ask how those truths and principles apply to our own lives today. This week, Michael kicks off our new series “The Gospel of God” by exploring the backstory of Paul’s letter to the Romans and introduces us to the idea that the word “gospel” is so much richer than we may have previousl...

What does it look like for God to bring new life out of the graves of broken dreams, fear and anxiety, bitterness, and shame? This week Andres, Christy, Joel, and Neil come together to share how they have struggled with these graves and how, when we bring these graves to God in authenticity and surrender, He brings transformation and freedom into our story.
