This week, we begin learning the ways God speaks to us, and Andres teaches that the primary way is through the Word. If we want to hear God speak, the Bible cannot be something we try to fit into our lives. The Bible needs to be what we build our lives around because it contains the voice, presence, and power of God.

Jesus came to restore our relationship with God and modeled that the best way to know, love, and please God is through obedience. To experience more of God’s presence, power, and voice in our lives, we need to fully surrender all other pursuits and prioritize our relationship with Him as our greatest passion.

At the end of his previous message, Michael asked us to reflect on two key questions as we head into this “Hearing God” series. Our responses to these questions reveal our heart posture, indicating whether we are truly willing to listen—and follow—when God speaks. The spiritual skill and experience of hearing from God are intricately connected to the quality of relationship we have with Him.
